• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Looking for some wheel alignment data & feed back?

We have found the 20 and up Spyders better than earlier years. As always, our policy is if your bike is within spec, it’s free. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it, but it does not hurt to check! Many new owners think it is just fine. We align it, and it is even better!! I would rather know, than not. We want everyone to enjoy riding as much as we do. If we can make your experience better, then we will!

Hey guys, here is a printout of my 2021 Spyder alignment. It shows the before adjustment readings and the actual reading after the adjustment were made.

Absolutely can do it that way on an alignment rack.
Kind of distressing to see such a difference in camber angles for a vehicle with centerline payload.

If I had one curiosity, actually two. First being are these values unladen? Second, if unladen, why only 0.25* total toe on a vehicle know to have excessive bump steer that generates toe out?

Regardless cool to see this was done and with toe being the only adjustment, its easy to align.

How was the alignment done, and with what system? How was all the data shown in the printout generated, and how was the report generated? It is rather interesting to see it all.

Thanks for the info. Pretty impressive. I went to the Hunter website. I wonder now if that's what the local tire shop used to align my Maxima wheels recently.

The challenge you face in promoting your system, as I see it, is perfection vs. 'good enough'. Your add-on tool for the Hunter alignment equipment would have to be fairly economical and easy to use to garner interest on the part of an alignment shop owner to serve the limited market of Spyder owners. The Rolo system obviously does not provide all the detailed info the Hunter system will, but years of experience of Spyder owners is it leads to pretty damn good results. Do we really need or want to pay for the incrementally improved results your system provides? Maybe, but I'm doubtful.

PMK and I discussed the issue of 'good enough' vs. 'absolute best' last spring when I chronicled my DIY experience doing my own alignment using a couple of torpedo laser levels and whacked together targets. Was my alignment perfect? Probably not but it sure was good enough to let me ride easy all summer! Had camber and caster been adjustable it might have been a different story.

I'm with PMK about his concern about the camber you found on your F3. Makes me wonder how many Spyders out there don't have a correctly configured suspension. I say keep poking and prodding and maybe we'll see another dimension in Spyder care and maintenance in a few years.

Good ole Hunter. You bring back a lot of memories Triniman. First machine (and last) I worked with in the 70’s. No lasers like today, no touch screens, no computer to tell you where to add or remove a shim. I applaud your effort to marry the system to a Spyder.

Plus they have a manufacturing facility 10 miles from me in Raymond.
