• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

looking for most comfortable grips

thank you bjt.
does that disengage when you give a little gas or do you have to reach over with your left hand to disenage?

i like the throttle lock types better. i wonder if brp vibration reducer and custom grips will work with vista cruise.

Vista Cruise has nothing to do with the grips you use. They grab the throttle sleeve and not the grip.

i understand that but vista cruise does not work with iso grips right?
i was thinking if it does not work with one grip it may not work with others
if vista cruise does not work with iso, i was thinking about getting brp anti-vibration bar and their custom grips to go with vista.

Works fine with iso or any grip. The grip is not a factor, it only grabs the throttle sleeve. You need to hold back the grip so it doesn't hit the VC.

thank you for info
i am not familiar with these things as i was a crotch rocket rider before i became spyder addict:D
one of website that sells vista had a note "will not work with iso grip"
i guess i can disregard that

I'm not sure why they would say that but you can be sure I won't tell you something works unless I'm sure that it will work. :doorag:

this is what threw me off:dontknow:
this item description from j&p cycles
but i see you and others got the clamps working already^^

Universal Vista Cruise

Product may vary from photo
Made of durable Zytel nylon, the universal Vista Cruise installs easily in minutes on most motorcycles. You dont even have to remove your grip. Long-distance rides are a lot nicer when you dont have those painful hand cramps from holding the throttle.

Note: Does not work with ISO™-Grips.

one question please
should i get clamp for yamaha or universal one?
seems obvious to get the universal one but just making sure to get the right one. thanks for info:2thumbs:

there's a bit of confusion here. What lamonster installed, and what you're thinking of are two different products. The universal unit you're thinking of has a collar that slips onto the grip and little set screws nail it down. it also has a clamp on the bar, and a rod connecting the collar to the clamp. Pressing the lever down locks the collar from spinning.
The one lamonster is talking about goes on and acts as a wedge between the switch housing and throttle sleeve.
I've used the universal on iso grips in the past, but modified the clamp and connecting rod (drill and tap the bottom of switch housing- then use a little aluminium bracket). it sometimes can slip on the chrome of the iso, but if you tighten it up enough, it'll dent the grip.

Lamonster, do you have the PN# for the VC you used?

Click here, this is it. Much cleaner look than the ugly universal one with the bar, clamps, etc:
