• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Look at what i had the opportunity to ride today!

You are correct (to a point}, now is a Street Doo, :roflblack:
It is pretty much like riding the spyder, it does lean but very little, it does not have all the safety devices of the spyder but it has a lot more power.
This old guy is ridding it across country from Michigan to Cali and back to Michigan via Sturgis, some kind of fund raiser against diabetes;
Great guy!, this things are made in Michigan, the kit cost 3500 installed in your own snowmobile or they will supply one for you for 10k extra

Is so high that you can go offroading on it, it feels weird because it is so high, it makes you feel that its going to tip over

Awe man another toy i want.... I can stage this one. #1 get snowmobile #2 never get snow so wife says whats the point #3 send for conversion :).

This would make for a great conversation:
"Honey, Look what I bought!"
"What the heck is it?"
"Why it's a snowmobile!"
"Aren't they supposed to be ridden on snow?"
"Of course."
"BUT WE DON'T GET ANY SNOW!!"
"I know that"

"The neighbors are gonna think that you've finally turned the corner and left your sanity behinc!"
"Relax; I've got it covered..."
"We're not buying another house in the mountains..."

And so it goes... :roflblack:

Yup... An outfit up in the Northeast does the conversions...
2 companies make conversion kits for sleds. One in Minn, one in Mass. Most states will not allow registration of snowmobiles for the street. I know, because I fought with the state of Vermont for about a year before I bought my spyder.

:yikes: I guess I'm in the minority on this one. My first thought when I saw it was, That's scary looking! :yikes: That thing looks like a roll over just waiting to happen.

On the positive side you don't need to put it up on ramps to change the oil.

It would be neat to see a comparison/test on how they perform vs. the Spyder.

Like the sled.....I have wondered about......how different would a Spyder handle if it didnt have all of the electronic stability/traction control/abs devices......and how much more reliable would it be......

Its not a beauty by no mean, but it is different, and most of us that ride a spyder like different,, my other ride is a triumph rocket3, for most people it is the world's ugliest motorcycle, i like it because ,,, is different:doorag:

That's an interesting looking machine....maybe a bit top heavy tho. Are the Ski Doos powered by the same, or similar Rotax engine as the :ani29:? Liquid cooled?

Crap!!!! that is one question i forgot to ask!!!:banghead:
he will comeback in a few weeks, i will ask him!
I know it is liquid cooled because he mentioned he has a honda civic radiator under the machine, and he said he has been in stop and go traffic for 4 hours and never overheated
