I'm sure the Conroe/Houston Spyder folks will be planning a trip to Galveston for the rally. In the past, it's been a just a Saturday ride, but there may be some folks going down for a little longer stay. Things will start getting firmed up shortly so stay tuned.

Going up Thursday for a day trip before the crowds sounds good. Looks like some of Y'all will be there that day too.

Found the site for Outlaw Dave's run to Galveston. This looks Awesome! Catered breakfast before the run, etc. It costs $20 but it all goes to charity. He does a Toy Run up 290 and its a class act.

Yazz...I checked for hotels within walking distance of the rally....$200. and up per night and 2 or 3 day stay....too rick for my blood....but I only checked hotels...not the b&b's...if you find something let me know.....I'd love to be there saturday night....

Amanda and I were thinking about riding down on Saturday, walking a round for a little bit, grabbing lunch and then heading back.

Last year, we had lunch at Fishermans Warf, right next to Willey G's and close to the rally. If there is a plan to go on Thursday, I may see if I can move some work stuff around to make it.

Don't know the area too well, but bunking on the Island would be wonderful. Maybe we could share a room? Hubby can work his 'puter magic and see what he comes up with for a place to stay. Worse case, getting a room on the mainland is preferable to riding back home late at night.

we are staying in a weekend rental house this time because we didnt reserve our condo soon enough... usually stay right on sea wall and sit out at night watching bikes go by. not sure how far down this house is but it is on the water!!!! as long as i am there i wouldnt care if i sept in a tent, and at my age that hurts..ha ha opcorn::thumbup:

Well, unfortunately, somethings come up that will prevent me from attending the Lone Star Rally. I hate missing the opportunity to meet some new Spyder riders. I know y'all will have a great time.

Outlaw Daves Ride

Great turn out this year for the ride 1600 bikes, probably 8 Spyders.. Really nice to ride all the way to the island without the worries of the "cagers" cutting you off..:yes:.
