• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Was reading some old posts and this one post tickled me as it raving up a conversation I had with a friend that owns a Porsche 911. He drives 200 miles and pays between $800 & $1,000 for one oil change. That includes coffee and donuts free.

That involves pulling the rear wheels to get at the filters and lubrication of the whole vehicle, a wash job and vacuuming the cabin area.

Makes a Spyder LOF change cheap...

...On the OTHER hand; if you can afford the car...
Those costs might not seem so high!
I've heard that Ferraris are even worse; WAY worse!

just looked this up

[h=2]Rolls Royce Phantom[/h] The king of the throne Rolls Royce Phantom, which is big brother to our newly reviewed RR Ghost is just about one of the most expensive cars to maintain and takes the cake for being the most expensive one of our list. Annual Maintenance costs of $3900 and an oil change for $650. This outrageous luxury boat on wheels is phenomenal but may not be the best option after its 4 year warranty is up. The umbrellas in the doors cost $600 a piece so imagine what the cost of repairs is on a transmission job. The cost of ownership for the RR Phantom might be high, but as we said it in the Ghost review, you get what you pay for.

AND THEN THERE WAS THIS CADILLAC

Along time ago an engineer ( probably graduated to BRP :roflblack: ) once designed a Caddy that in order to change the TAILITE BULBS the entire rear bumper assembly had to be re-moved......:gaah:....:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:....Mike

Taillight bulb: 79 cents
Labor to change the bulb:

cost to put in side light lens

I damaged the side light lens in the bumper of my 1996 Jaguar XJS convert. You had to remove the bumper to change it and they wanted $350 to put in the new one. Lens cost $22.
Found a tech who knew a trick and on the side (not in the shop) he changed it for $50.

I could be wrong, but didn't the old Chevy Monza require loosening the engine from its mounts to enable you to get to one or two of its spark plugs?
