• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Locking Glove Box

Is the glove-box supposed to actually "lock" when the you lock the handlebars (turn to left or right and lock with the ignition) so you can't open it at all? Mine does not..., but the handlebars do go over the top of the box so it's difficult to open more than a couple of inches. Is this what's meant by "Locking" or is mine broken? It's been this way since I purchase. '12 RTLtd.

Glove box is lock when: 1) you turn the handlebars in the right or left and 2) when you turn your ignition key to the left in the lock position (as you written).

My glove box is lock in this position and I can't open it. You probably have a problem...

Yes it is broken

From what it sounds like yes your's is broken, more than likely it is the cable that goes from the ignition to the lock on the glove box.

Best of luck,

Bob

Bummer...I had a feeling that was the case though. I guess I'm going to have to have the dealer take a look sooner than later. Kinda trivial to take in just for that....but I would like everything to work as it should!

The cable on my wifes RT wasn't hooked up to begin with at the handle bar end.. I discovered it when I pulled them off to get powder coated.

Make sure tha glove box is closed b4 you lock the handlebar, I thought the same thing and the glove box
Was not really closed, ihad to push on it furmly :sour:
