• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Loading Ramps

Anyone have any experience with loading a Spyder RT Limited onto a trailer with a ramp. I have a trailer but not a load ramp. Thinking about something similiar to the fold out aluminum ramps that they use for ATV and motorcycles. Anyone seen any of these designed well enough, wide enough and long enough to keep the angle of slope up the ramp and onto the trailer that will work with the Spyder. Have only seen 48 inch ramps so far.

I have seen longer ones, folding or not, but you would have to buy two pair to get three. Nothing wide enough in a single ramp to do the job.

To get my RT over the curb I use a pair of ramps for the front wheels and a couple of different widths of 2x lumber for the back wheel to get up the curb.

No, I don't try to load my Spyder with only two ramps and no, I don't load it into my truck. :o) The third ramp and my tailer are not where I can access them at the moment so the pictures only show two ramps and the truck. The ramp set is a wider center ramp and two narrower side ramps, all wide enough for the Spyder wheels, and the center ramp is rated at 1500 lb. They are made of aluminum and were designed for riding a motorcycle onto a truck or trailer, using the two side ramps for the rider to put his/her feet on. They are 10 ft. long.

I've had these ramps for about 10 years and long forgotten where I got them but there is a sticker on them referencing Ramp Master at www.ramp-master.com. Since I purchased my 2010 RT I've used them several time to load it onto my snowmobile trailer, which works well for the Spyder, and it loads very easily with this setup. I do have to put a short piece of 2x4 or 6 wood in front of the side ramps (not under them) to lift the nose of the Spyder as it starts up the ramps, otherwise it drags on the center ramp.

I hope this is of some help.
