• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Took L'ill Red to dealer today had a 9:00 am appointment. I must say that Charlie,Chase,Tony and the rest on the guys were great. They were pro's very helpful and Charlie has worked with me from the start. they replaced the T/B again and up dated the software. I think they got it this time :thumb up::clap: But when I first got there I got a heated tong lasing that lasted over an hour. The person who jumped all over me tried to get me to go to a different dealer he did everything short of refusing to work on my spyder under warranty!! he said that sense I posted bad reports on this web site I should go else where.I asked what lies did I tell he knew of none! I replied that telling the Truth wasn't breaking form rules he then said that I didn't post anything good about them.my reply was I didn't have anything good to say.Well now I can say that Charlie and his techs. didn't give up on L'ill Red and it paid off:clap: And thanks to Jeff I am going to stay with Big#1 until the warranty ends. Pete :ohyea:

:yikes:, wow an hour long tongue lashing from the dealer, don't think I would have put up with that.

Glad they finally got you up and running.

Glad to hear that things are getting better.

The tounge lashing was out of line. As I have said before, you are a very patient person in comparison to me.

Keep the information coming. Hope you have the issues solved and that you now begin many trouble free miles.

The owner's wife jumped me over it and the only defense that I had was that the name of their shop was never put out here.
So it can happen to anybody... :D

GLAD YOU GOT IT WORKED OUT

maybe I shouldn't have put there name out here but when I was buying L'ill Red they could help but fall over each other trying to make me happy. then after I got it they were like who are you. I couldn't get help with parts(seat with back rest) and this is before I had troubles with spyder:gaah:

Looks like things have not changed there, I lived 30 minutes from there , bought my first bike there and always felt dissatisfied with their service

yep there service is better now (if you don'tgive up). while I was being chewed out all I keeped thinking was am I going to have to write 1,000 times (I will not post bad things about BRP or Big#1 again) :duh: It was all I could do not to laugh!:lecturef_smilie: Pete

As an outsider that has been to the dealer in question and had items quoted, and wanted to deal with them repeatedly I can tell you that while I like the lady in the parts department, the dealer would never give me price matches, however, they always said they would be willing to give some price breaks on items in the store. I had another member of the team there explain to me that taxes and a handling fee were placed on all items over 5 dollars and that handling fee was 4 dollars.

I have not worked or spoken to their service people, but I was disappointed with how ready they were to help a potential new customer. I am in Birmingham a lot (Sonja lives there), and I have marked them off my list of people to immediately seek out for help / parts / service. However, given pete's statement perhaps their service department warrants another look.

:agree: there severice dept. is doing better I asked them why they charged $400.00 to change oil on a spyder (sev rate was $98. 00 hour) when it took me only 30mins. to change mine? well yesterday I saw that they changed there price to $59.95 plus the coast of oil and filter! I am not the reason for the price change just glad that they'er getting competive on price.
 pete

Hello, Pete nice ride! Wanted to make sure i understood the $4oo charge you got as my dealer here charges that for a first service which is way more stuff than an oil change. Was it a service or an oil change? I would hate for others to miss understand what you had done and how much it was? My dealer puts a list of things that are done with the service on my recipt, does yours? Services are way more money that oil changes.

Have a great ride Pete!

it was for service but I droped it off after 1:00 pm and they called me before 4:00 pm to tell me it was ready (do the math) now they put on the board oil change $59.95 plus oil an filter. 6,000 mile ser. is $409.00 plus tax. I think there still high on ser. also My proublems didn't start until after first service at 600 miles.
