• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lighting Mods & Functions

I want to make some modifications to my lights and increase their respective functions. I'm not an electrical wizard or wiring pro - so I've come to the place that has both.

I've got an RS. I want the rear turn signals to function as running lights also. I want the tail brake lights to also function as turn signals. (No center tail light; I have the backrest.) I want the mud flap light to function as turn signals as well as running lights. Then I want a flash mode prior to a steady mode from all of them when braking.

Hope that makes sense. I've found some products that do some, but not all of what I want. Are there components or products that will do it all?

Thanks.

I have a RT and have the ESI Brightsides, brake light and running lights. They are very high quality products with good instructions. :2thumbs:

I talked with ESI. The Triple Play and TIPS will do most of what I want, but not all, thus my post. If I understand Triple Play doesn't allow the brake lights to function as a turn signal and TIPS doesn't function as a brake light. Agree they are great products and maybe all of my wants can't be met.

Try the tripleplay, with the flap lights tied into the rear turnsignals instead of the tips. The original tail lights won't be part of it, but you'll get the flash with the brakes.

:agree: I think that will be about as close as you are going to get for what you want to do. It will be a decent run of wire to the LED mud flap lights.
