• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lifting an RT Limited

I saw a picture somewhere of a Spyder up on a lift, similar to a Craftsman motorcycle lift.
I have the Craftsman lift that has the two flat bars you put under the motorcycle and lift it up.
I believe it will handle up to 1500 lbs.
If I can use this to lift the Spyder, are there certain points under the Spyder that this lift should set at so it lifts the bike evenly?

My wife wants to raise the bike up so it is easier to clean the wheels, chrome, and lower parts of the bike.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Does anyone have pictures of where to place the lift and where stands should be placed to stabilize it?

I use a lift similar to the one in post 4. It's a low profile motorcycle lift. Roll it in so that the beams are just ahead of the exhaust joint. It'll be about even with the lower wind deflectors. Be careful lowering it so you don't get anything on the bike snagged when it comes down. Use stands for added safety if you're gonna be under it.
