Here in Oz, despite many treating
that one as a 'Go faster once this comes on' amber light, that one actually means 'Stop unless you'll die by being hit from behind'... not that you'd ever think so, from what you see people doing once it lights up!
But I wouldn't boast too much about being able to tell the difference between the Stop and Go lights... not unless you are absolutely sure it's the colours you can see vs just working off the position of the lights! A few years ago, I was involved (as a 'pilot study test subject') with some research to determine when/if drivers who were getting older should be required to do additional tests in order to maintain their Driver's licences, and one of the 'tests' proposed that all of us were subjected to was to invert the traffic light display and then only pass those who still stopped on Red (when it was at the bottom) and went on Green (when it was at the top)! All the test-ees but two of us (both ex-professional drivers and funnily enough, also pilots) failed that one, and then those test-ees who failed on the road/track also failed a subsequent colour blindness test!!
Apparently, many aging drivers just go by the position of the lights, rather than the colours...
