• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I am contemplating buying the Lidlox product but have one question for those of you that have them. Do the helmets hang so low that they hit the side of the spyder especially when the wind is blowing? Thanks.

Cant speak for everyone but I personally put mine so it does not hang, but is locked & up on bar. I do lock my bars so one is always up fyi

I wasn't there but I still care! POW /MIA VETS

 It would take one heckuva strong wind; to bounce the helmets off of the bodywork... nojoke
Mine have never hit.

Well

Just noticed today on the F3 that the helmet is very close to the body work when using the extenders supplied with the the product. It may be possible to not use the extender and just hang by the D-ring. On our RT it is not EVEN close! This is a must have product!

I'm just wondering why ryder's don't use the hooks under the seats to secure their helmets? Is there something wrong with them? Thanks

Look out

Did that the first time out on the RT, I have scratches to remind of of that moment of. Dumbness! That will definitely touch the body work!:yikes:

It is close to body work on my ST. Always hang with the helmet out. So by the answers above it depends on what mystery spyder you have.

Lidlox

I have a 2014 RTS. It sounds like I will not have a problem with helmets hitting body with this Model. Thanks

i have an rs and they hang close to body but i dont see anyway they could cause damage? maybe just a scuff mark to clean at next waxing, i love my lidlox!!!

Communications Systems

The only concern I have with this or the built-in bike hooks is that you need to remove your communications systems each time you lock your helmet to the bike. I have Uclear systems on my helmets with the clip mount. Anybody have concerns with their communications systems being stolen if the helmet is stored externally on the Spyder?

 Paranoia can hamstring you, if you let it... :banghead:
I've always locked my helmet in the open, and have never had the intercom system compromised by "curious hands".
How many people walk around with the correct-sized allen wrench in their pocket anyway? :dontknow:

If you use the hangers that come with it... It can hit the body if you are not careful... Also keep your hands under the helmet when unlocking it from the bike as it can fall straight down... FYI I love the product but was told by my riding buddies that they cut the straps and either sew new ones on or get them replaced. I have them on both bars so I take the chance.

I love the Lidlox! I also lock the steering and have done so with and without a half cover. I never felt my body panel's finish were in any kind of jeopardy.
