There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. LidLox: Where do you store/carry Your Key?

No - I'm not trying to steal your helmet -- It probably wouldn't fit my huge noggin anyway....;)

I just installed the LidLox on my F3-T and it actually was really easy - even for a klutz like me. Now the question is where do I store/carry the LidLox key? I keep my Spyder's key separately (ie - not on the ring of my house/car keys) to hopefully avoid scratching around the ignition. It would be ideal to keep the LidLox key with the Spyder key on a ring (since the LidLox key is so small), but, as we all know, the Spyder ignition key has no hole and you shouldn't drill a hole thru it.

So, where do you keep your LidLox key?

My BRP Cruise jacket has a key clip lanyard bungee attached inside the right pocket. It's a perfect location for me.

I keep mine in a corner of the glovebox of the F3-L. Verrry easy for me to get to, and I don't think someone who just wants to nick your helmet is going to spend time digging around the bike for a key (even if they know the glovebox is there and unlocked);)

Drilled my key

Sorry but I drilled my key (cheap and easy) Lamonster even has a video on how to do it. Put a ring thru key and put lid locks key on ring. Almost 2 years and no problems. Works great and is cheap. Bob

I keep mine on a keyring that is hooked to my belt clip.
Along with the key to my fuel door, and the ignition key (When it's not in the switch!)

Just curious....do most people not use the OEM under-seat helmet lock hooks? Or, are those only on newer models/bikes? I find the ones on my 2017 RTS very handy.

Why would I want to hang my helmet in a place that's guaranteed to mark up the paint? :dontknow:

Ok, makes sense I guess. The bottom lip of my full-face helmet is nicely padded and I just put that towards the bike. The D-ring has a padded area on the strap just above it also. Maybe it's just my helmet configuration that makes it work for me. Anyhow, I'm glad I have the hooks.

Hmmm...Not even sure whether my 2016 F3-T has these. If so, I wasn't aware of it.

I have the hooks on my 2015 RTS but the strap on my helmet is too short. When I hook the helmet the seat won't close so I use the Lidlox. Some people here have made brackets to aid in extending the under seat helmet hook.

Designated ring

After getting my trailer I made a spare ring to hold my other keys with a carabiner for quick access to the lid lox "T"( helmet extender). It stays in a pocket up in frunk till I need whatever key.

The F3-T has the clips under the seat, but the passenger handles keep me from using it. At least for my helmet. I just use my LidLox, or trailer if I have it with me.

Just poke a hole in the rubber CanAm key head and put it on a ring like any other key. Lidloc then goes on the ring with the spyder key. Keep it simple.
