• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lets help Bytemi daughter Antonia get some more Spyder time :) Donations encouraged !

A Special Thank You from Antonia

Antonia received $822 from this discussion. I ordered the sports rack and backrest for the Spyder. I also got her a Joe Rocket Jacket and gloves and tomorrow we will be going to Kings Dominion. Thank you again for all of your suppport. As soon as we got the backrest on, we went for a nice long ride. My husband stayed behind us on his bike to keep on eye on Antonia. He said she was waving at everyone we passed and he has never seen her smile like that before. At one point she scream "This is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!" and giggled. The joy that these gifts has given her is amazing! She had her third therapy session yesterday and sadly, the therapy is making her sick, headaches and stomache aches. She is tired all the time. So it was great to see that light in her eyes again.
I had to order more paracord and clasps for the braceletes which I received today. I will get the bracelet out to everyone that responded as soon as possible.

Here is a note from Antonia and pictures of us on the Spyder together.

Thank you for allowing all of us to share in this gift. It definitely brought a smile to my face to hear about her ride and see her on the back there.

Thank you, she is my angel. After a week of "Mommy, my head hurts and Mommy my stomach hurts", you have no idea how good it felt when hubby said (on the blue tooth), you have to see the big smile on her face and then she started cheering and giggling, which just made it better. It felt so good to give her relief!

Bytemi, are you still looking to raise money? I see you raised your goal but also have some other ideas too. I completely missed this thread and would like to donate still. Would love to help for a great cause!!!

We did reach the goal and then some. I would like to get the arm rests but that is more for my piece of mind.

We Are Paying it Forward

When this thread was started my husband and I had a hard time accepting the help that was being offered and we swore that we would pay it forward one day. That day has arrived.

Antonia's softball coach asked me if I would be willing to help her daughter. She is reading below grade level, homework is a continuous fight and she is just struggling. I met with the little girl to see if I could help. I was amazed to find that working with her was much like Antonia 6 months ago. Leaving letters out of words when writing, not closing letters completely and just an over all struggle to complete the simplest of tasks. I spoke to her Mom and suggested that she take her to see Dr. Davis to get her daughter tested. Unfortunetly, her father was laid off and money is tight. So I contacted Dr. Davis's office and asked if there was anything they can do to reduce the cost of testing and we donated rested. We can't afford to donate thousands of dollars for her therapy, but we were able to get her tested and get prism eye glasses that will help her until they can afford therapy. In the meantime, Antonia has offered to work with her and show her the home therapy and I am donating all my proceeds from Virtual Tournements.com (bowling tournements) to her therapy costs.

Everyone on this thread did such an amazing thing for my daughter and I want you all to know that your kindness has moved forward to someone else that needs it.

If you are wondering, yes the daughter has asked me for Spyder rides for improvement too. LOL

You are all amazing people and again I thank you for the support and love you have shown us.
