• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

One of our beloved members - Adele (Bytemi) who has a daughter named Antonia deserves some help ! Antonia has been doing so great in her visual therapy that she deserves a reward and her chioce of one is :

As a reward all Antonia is asking for is asking for a ride with her Mom on their Spyder :) but due to the ongoing costs of therapy ( uncovered by insurance :lecturef_smilie: ) a backrest is needed to ensure Antonia gets longer and more time on the Spyder with her Mom but is just not in their budget.

Helping Bymeti and Antonia spend time together safely as mother and daughter is something I feel is something really worth doing and I'm opening this thread up to anyone who'd like to donate to help make more rides possible. I am making a donation as I post this -- please consider helping another Spyderlover and her daughter spend time together while safely enjoying their Spyder !

Donations can be made through paypal by using this e-mail address : [email protected].

We need $640.00 to get her one off ebay with free shipping.

I made a donation......... Well actually it was Holly, I used her Paypal account. :roflblack::roflblack:

Jake (Elixermixer ) and I are always happy to support another Spyderlover ! Donations will go towards a BRP sportrack and backrest :)

I thank you all for the generous donates that you have made and or will make. I want everyone to understand that once we get through therapy and things get back to normal financially for us, I plan on making a donation to the Therapy Center that my daughter is going to in the name of all members of Spyders Lovers to repay the money. This way we can help another child like my daughter get the help that he/she needs.

I don't accept help easily and I truely appreciate each and every one of you for supporting me and my daughter. We are two weeks into therapy, 46 more to go, I just need to keep her motivated and trying. Thank you for helping me accomplish that in the safest possible way!

For those of you who do not know what is happening with my daughter she was diagnosed with Convergence Insufficent and Eye Movement disorder about a month ago. This causes her to see double and her body is not separated like it should be. Basically if she moves her left leg, her left arm and left eye move at the same time (I can list all the combinations but I think you get the idea) nothing is independant. She can not separate any actions. The double vision has resulted in 2 broken bones and an injured growth plate, in the past. We just didn't know why she was so clumsey. Now we do and we can fix it! That is what the vision therapy is for. My insurance company told me this is not medically necessary to fix and they won't help with the therapy costs.

Again thank you all for the support, I will post pictures of Antonia on the bike with the backrest as soon as it arrives.

You know, I have often thought that it would be nice if any insurance people who thought something wasn't needed were to suffer the affliction for a day or so, things would be much better. I wonder how they think the problem would be solved? Idiots. My insurance company won't pay for any therapy, either, so I can relate.

This is the best place on the web, isn't it? I have difficulty accepting gifts, too. If it helps, think of this as being for Antonia, not you. You are just the conduit :)
