Still being neew to riding, had our RT for one month and almost 900 miles we learned a couple of leassons this weekend. On a ride to Town and Country this MOnday the weather started out ok a little cool but not real cold. We had riding coats on, but the liners were out. I had only a tee shirt on and my wife had a a long sleeve shirt on. By the time we started back it was 60 degrees and the sun was going down. We found a Dollar General on the way back and paid $22.00 each for a sweatshirt. They made the ride home very enjoyable. So this lesson was dress for not only the current weather but the weather later on.
The second lesson was - don't think the person in front of you will turn. I came very close to the back end of someome and had to turn around the rear end of her car. I got to see the inside of her car up close and personal. My wife kept saying to herself, he is going to stop, he is goping to stop. Well, I kind of stopped. Big lesson there.
We are looking for a good set of cool weather riding jackets and pants. Any suggestions. Thanks.
