• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leftovers?

So what are you doing with your Thanksgiving leftovers? I know, you're eating them . . . but do you make them into something else?

I had some extra broth, so today I'm experimenting with cream-of-leftover soup. I put some of each of the starchy foods and veggies into the broth and brought it to a slow boil, reduced it to a simmer and added a little bit of cream. It actually tastes pretty good.

Just the usual here. Pick at what's left of the meat. Sandwitch's, some soup, and a final meal of the "main" leftovers.

We had a family get together last Sunday with turkey and trimmings. Ended up going with ham and all the trimmings yesterday (Thanksgiving). It was actually a nice break from the "usual."

With Christmas on the horizon, we have already decided its going to be a ham and prime rib combo--plus trimmings.

We're saving the largest chunk of yesterday's meal for a second Dinner on Sunday; when Sonny-Boy can make it!
After that, it gets FUN! :D
Sandwiches
More Sandwiches...
Turkey and Ham Salad Sandwiches...
Then we can usually squeeze about a week's worth of soup out of what's left!
We eat everything but the Turkey's pinfeathers, and the Pig's squeals... nojoke

Leftovers

My wife and I have hosted Thanksgiving for my family for the last 30 years, This year we had 22, enough that I cleaned out the garage and set up tabels and chairs for all to be together, 2 turkeys and a Ham in the traeger with all the other sides we have plenty of leftovers, one of my favorites is when Ellie makes her Turkey Pot pie, and this morning we had scrambled eggs and ham.

Anything left over by Saturday after lunch gets fed to the garbage disposal unit. (Including guests)

Turkey bowties

Leftover turkey, peas, a bit of garlic, a stick of butter. Heat through, toss over bow tie pasta. Easy, fast, tasty!
