• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

LED version of the license plate bulb

In changing to a longer screw and adding some RTV, so that I don't lose my license plate light housing, I noticed that the incandescent bulb is melting the housing plastic. Does anyone have a source for an LED replacement bulb :dontknow: Sometimes you do a post and then you look at it at go; What have I done? What I really wanted to know was an equivalent bulb number. I know where to buy them. I just don't know the bulb number for an LED light that would fit and work in the existing socket. Hopefully, someone has already done this and will be kind enough to share the info. If not I will do the legwork myself and post the results.

These people have lots to choose from. LED's are directional so if that bulb is mounted horizontally you may need a 90 deg bulb. They have those in certain sizes. I haven't had to look at my license plate light yet luckily. I had a similar heat problem with side marker lights on a Goldwing. They cooked the sockets pretty good. Replaced them with LED's from Autozone and they worked fine.
