LED Turn Signal Indicators

I have bought some LED turn signals that go behind the mirrors. You have to remove the mirror glass and they stick in, so when you indicate it can be seen easier than the pathetic green one which is impossible to see in our Aussie sunshine. However I am a bit cautious about doing it as I don't want to break the mirror in the process of removing it. I have looked on YT and they use a hairdryer to help get the glass off. Has anyone done this already on here?

Do not do it you will brake the mirror I did and they are not that bright

Now I think of it I have some old Harley mirrors I could try to remove and see how bright the LED's are.

do a search, others have done this and in addition to a hairdryer to heat things up, dental floss as the detachment tool was mentioned:thumbup::yikes:

IF THE MIRROR ------ BREAKS

I'm 99.999 % sure that if this occurs, you will have to replace the ENTIRE ASSEMBLY ( $250.00 +/- ) or find a glass shop that will make you one ( & that may cost more ) ....... The short LED strip that most here have added is way simpler & less complicated .......................good luck, Mike :thumbup:

some have done this with success. Others have used the MUTH Signals mirrors. They are a replacement glass and signal.

Heat and take your time is the best method .
