There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. LED headlights - what are the differences between Lamonster & TricLED?

Other than that Lamonster's has a larger LED power regulator / driver and thus needs to be installed outside the headlight housing, are there any technical differences?

Lamonster says 4000 lumens; TricLED says 8500 (but is this for both?)

Lamonster's is $10 more (I don't care)

Both 6000k color rendering

Lamonster says 24 watt per bulb; TricLED doesn't specify but says its 3rd gen light is twice the wattage (of what?)

Lumens - Lamont's are each ...... TricLed's are for both combined ........ Lamont's may have to be focused , Tricleds are fixed and correct ( Mine were ) ..... if you get Fogs also be prepared to remove Frunk or have a supply of bandaids and a crying towel .... pain killer helps also ................Mike

+1

Left fog light change is tough for us amateurs.

Having installed both, the LG ones are a better fit, higher quality construction and easier to get properly focused. Also do not care for the failure prone buzzy little fans on the Tric units. But they both seem to work ok once properly installed. Have not seen any significant failure of either.

No focusing necessary, they are "clocked" to the same position as the OEM by the locater rings (supplied). The fog lights I installed from him were the easiest thing I have done to the ride except for maybe the gauge spoiler! No frunk removal required. Just the inspection panels, the light covers and the upper side panels. The headlights? THEY WERE A PITA! :yikes:

The model we have been talking about is the RT, which has foglights recessed in a difficult-to-reach place, particularly the left one.

Pete,
I see that you ordered from TricLEDs...
I had both the headlight and foglight bulbs from them, in my 2014. They really did a bang-up job of pitching lumens down the road in front of me! :D
I've already got new bulbs for my 2018; they're waiting for the rest of the bike to arrive...

Having said all of this: it's pretty tough to choose between Lamont's, and Reggy's bulbs. They're both great products, from really great vendors! nojoke

Yes, it certainly seems that way because I haven't heard anything to the contrary on here.

I had installed TricLED's headlights and foglights on my Magnesium earlier this year. The (new to me) Cognac had LED headlights installed but one burned out on me this weekend so I thought I'd replace both from suppliers I have learned to trust. I'm leaving the stock fog lights in place for now because they are a b**** to install.

A hard decision for you who have to make a choice yet. Both products are good and have their advantages and disadvantages. Going to stay out of a potential heavy discussion of which is "really" best.

I bought TriCled on this go around--and am very happy with the results.
