There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Which LED manufacturer?

Which LED headlight/fog light kit do you like or have? “Lamonster headlight/fog combo” who is sold by lamonster and spyderpops or “tricled 360” sold by tricled, value accessories and slingmods. Lamonsters is 6500k with 4000 lumens vs tricled 6000k don’t know lumens? I know both are better than halogen. I was surprised yesterday how many spyders I saw with LEDs headlight and fogs. I’m sold now for daylight riding eye catching. There was 5 spyders behind us and the 3 with leds stood right out in my mirrors. Just curious on which. When I bought my tricled fender sequence run/turn lights they were brighter than lamonsters. I love them. But in specs I believe lamonsters is brighter headlights and fog lights. Lamonster needs a notch for wires in housing vs tricled is no modification. Both plug and play. Lamonster is $145 for both sets vs tricled is $209 for both. Price really isn’t my real concern. Which do you have and like?

I have the Tricled 360 - got them from Slingmods. I like that that put out two distinctly different high-low beams that go where I want. I bought them thinking they'd be better than the two sided and I believe they are. I can't speak for the two sided LEDs since I haven't experienced them in my Spyder.

I bough the LED headlights and fog lights kit from Lamonster. I really like these LED LIGHTS. They are much brighter than the OEM lights. The install was not too bad.
I did it myself. They really light up the front of the Spyder even in the daylight. I would really recommend these lights .

The first video was good. Was hoping either led would have been displayed. Here is what I found out today from 1 vender dealing with the 2 headlights. The tricled is made by Light Moses “elite 365 series.” They are 6000 k and 5000x2= 10000ml. They are waterproof, copper lined and power a fan at 70 watts power. Lamonsters is a philips ZES which is aluminum and fanless. They are 6500k and 4000x2=800p. The 365 is brighter and a fully round looking light while lamonster is more beamed with farther projection I was told. I talked to 2 riders with tricled. I see what they mean by rounded light. There are no lines it’s completely globed filled. I was told there is a divider line on lamonsters which is better after dark as in narrower pointed beam. Trying to find lamonsters. There’s really only 2 common ones and I can’t believe there’s no side by side pictures comparing the two. It’s been asked dozens on times in multiple threads as I did searches and even on lamonsters site. I guess I really never paid attention before. Was Leaning towards tricled because I can’t find a lamonster to look at. Tricled is definitely bright looking in mirrors or standing in front in the day. Now I just watched the second video. Didn’t catch that before. Ya I can see watching the 360 video how it might be better for day time to eye catch blind lite during the day but not as good after dark. The two sided isn’t as eye catching during day but better after dark. Now I’m all confused on which one. I know I’m over thinking it. Both are better than Oem.

The primary reason for headlights is to improve after dark vision. Being seen in the day is important. But not primary for headlights. (I always run mine on High Beem in the daytime). You can add other LED's that will get you seen just as well or better than headlights. And still have good vision at night. There isn't any such thing as being able to see TOO well at night! Go for the best night vision you can get. Having a brighter bulb that wastes the additional light all over the place where you don't need it, or don't want it, is not the best choice. Putting less light exactly where you want it can be a much better way to go.

After watching both videos, I find your comments rather interesting. Headlight Revolution (HR) seems to not like any of the 360° bulbs, although they did not test the TricLED 360. Watching what was presented in the HR video, I would not install any of those in any of my vehicles, either.

I have installed the LaMonster bulbs in my wife's headlights and fog lights. While they are definitely brighter, I would like to have seen a different pattern for the high beam. As it is, the shutter simply uncovers a little more light that shines a bit higher. There is nothing that projects any farther down the road, it just lights up the trees a bit better.

I think this is exactly what Wmoater is trying to do, but, like so many others, appears to be confused by all the "we're the best" claims by virtually every manufacturer. After trying a few other LED replacement bulbs in other vehicles and seeing NO improvement, it is nice to see someone like HR come along with their comparisons. Yeah, their recommendations are not cheap, but I have gotten to the stage where I would rather 'buy once, cry once' and not have to worry about my choice.

On a side note: I have a new (to me) vehicle that I would like to upgrade the lights to LEDs. I have a mix of projector low beams and reflector high beams, so it was good to see how differently some of the bulbs worked in the different housings. I also have the added complication that my DRLs are the high beams on lower power. So far, I have only seen one bulb (Morimoto 2-Stroke 3.0) that has a less-intense output for the DRL function, just like stock halogens. Again, not cheap, but if it works, ... GREAT.

Tricled 360 LEDS fog and headlights with rivco spots! I can see everything and there should be no problem seeing me now!

This posting and replies make an interesting read.

I live in the country in a town of approx. 11,000. I ride quite a bit at night, coming back from clients at other towns. In Australia the RTL's have the top row of lights as High Beam, and the bottom Frunk mounted ones as headlights. The headlights are appalling for two reasons:
  1. Poor illumination generally
  2. Poor spread of light
I tried a number of brands of LEDs and had no luck getting either resolved, I've learnt that the reflectors and lenses are the issue in these models. When I found that my car low beam is the same bulb as the RTL Highs, and the car High's the same as the RTL lows I could put any globe from the RTL into the car (Lexus IS 250X) the bulbs are amazingly good.

As for spread if I only rode in the city/urban areas then spread isn't an issue, but for rural roads, spread is important to see those critters that want to occupy the same bit of road you want to use before we arrive at the same spot (we have Kanagaroos, you guys have Bears and Moose? ) . Also I find that because the lights have inadequate spread, they don't illuminate the sides of the road and at times you cant see the outer white line marking, or reflector posts on the roadside - until you cross them or hit one. YOu have someone come toward you with poorly adjusted lights or higher wattage bulbs and you rely on what little light you have to see the verges until they pass. I've made a point of bringing some of my urban counterparts on night rides and they soon realise how bad the RT's are here in AU. They do give great illumination of the underside of overpasses :(

I would love to find a way to disassemble the RTL headlight like HR do to see if the reflector from another vehicle could be bonded to the housing.

Here is an after dark shot. Low, high and at a culdisack 94 feet wide. This is a dirt road 1.5 car wide. Those who say 360 has no focus I beg to differ. There’s a hot direct spot and the wide treetop array is not evident to me. I’m pleased. The rivco sharpens the outsides of the fogs. On low I didn’t get blinked at all. I saw deer eyeball in fields too.
