• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Leather Can Am Jackets

HitAir jacket is the way to go for me...if you want maximum safety, you can't be an inflatable jacket....

I have some like new riding jackets...should probably sell them as I'll likely never wear them again...some I only wore once or twice...

I actually already bought one of these leathers from Michael and I gave it to my wife to wrap for me for Christmas. It is brand new, with the tags on it, and is in perfect condition. He's great people and will give bargains on other stuff he has in stock so I'd recommend him. I saved him on my Ebay "Favorite Sellers" to shop for future purchases !

How long (or short) do they seem to run in the arms? The textile jackets are on the stingy side.

I'm surprised he's getting away with $50 shipping charge. eBay can come down pretty hard when they decide your shipping is out of line. But it is, of course, the way to go since eBay does not charge a fee for shipping.

Ron, many merchants charge a lot for shipping because ebay doesn't take a cut of that in the final price...so, you have an item sell for a lot less...and jack up the shipping...the final fee is what ebay takes a cut of...they don't touch the shipping...

Ebay really isn't as aggressive on that as you think...I've complained about that many times, but they don't care...if you pay with paypal, ebay gets its money anyway as they take a cut of the total amount, product, shipping, and anything else...

Ebay is making enough money, trust me...I sell lots of stuff on ebay...they do quite well...

Yes, I know all of that. I also know eBay slammed me for charging $25 to ship helmets! :yikes:

But they are selective. It was either a customer or a competitor, I'm assuming, that complained. There were others charging $30 and higher to ship helmets. And they didn't seem to have a problem.

Same goes for intellectual property rights, copywrite infringment, etc.

It just depends if you get dropped on or not, I suppose. Everything is smooth until the meteor strikes!

:agree:
Clearly states FREE Shipping (Standard) with Estimated Delivery in 11-15 business days.

What the heck takes 11-15 days? Is it hand delivered by his personal assistant? Is it truly horse and buggy delivery?

I can send across the country UPS ground and it gets there in 5 days or under...

That's very, very odd...likely a competitor...I've never heard of ebay giving anyone a problem with anything...I believe in letting the marketplace determine what goes on...if people don't like a policy, it'll reflect in how little the merchant sells...the merchant can then change or not do too well. I don't see any advantage to ebay saying anything to you other than to just upset you...if you're doing fine with your business model, you should be able to continue it, period...

Very Good price, regular $249.00, I pay only $100.00 free shiping.

Anyone check these out on Ebay?

I got mine (or now Forrest's, since it was big on me) thru this vendor. It shipped about 4 days to ship after I paid for it, and 5 days to get here. So I'm guessing 11-15 is a "just-in-case" figure. But when shipping is included, it always is going to be the slowest shipping available.

I talked to Jerry at Reno and he said after you purchase it he orders it from BRP. When it arrives in Reno he then ships it to the buyer. So therein lies the extra time. By the way my winning offer was $99 with free shipping. Others auctions on Ebay have this jacket for $234.00!
