• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A few pics from Needles Highway and Iron Mountain Road. Trailered our Spyder out and did daily side trips to all the destinations. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer SP, Deadwood, Spearfish Canyon, Sturgis, Badlands, etc.katiespydersmall.JPGneedlesmall.JPGtunnelsmall.jpgrushmoretunnelsmall.jpg

Thanks for posting some pics. I love to see what people do on their summer vacations. If I ever get a job again, I will look forward to a vacation.

Beautiful area.

I was out there 10 days ago as well.
By far the best place I've ridden to date.
VERY boring ride to get there but once you are there it made the long trip worth it.
Stayed at these cabins at www.americanpines.com.
Nice owners, clean cabins, reasonably priced and centrally located.
I would recommend them!

Great vacation spots. Hope you had a great time!! Been to most of them in a cage. What about Wall Drugs & the Corn Palace?

Yes,

Great vacation spots. Hope you had a great time!! Been to most of them in a cage. What about Wall Drugs & the Corn Palace?

did Wall Drug (not so impressed), but skipped the Corn Palace. We ran the Wildlife Loop twice, and Iron Mountain Road about three times. We did Deadwood on Friday so that my wife could get in on all you can eat crab at the Silverado, and really enjoyed the various fruit wines and the food at Prairie Berry Winery (Hill City). We stayed at Powder House Lodge and Cabins (Keystone), and the food there was top notch too.towersmall.JPGcrazyhorsesmall.JPGbuffandcarssmall.jpgbuffandbabysmall.JPG

Next time you are out there you should eat at the Alpine Inn in Hill City. All they do is Filet's and it will be the best you will ever have. Then if you make your way to Pierre for whatever reason, eat at the Cattleman's. Best prime rib you will ever have. I don't eat prime anywhere else because it just doesn't stack up.

I was out there last year and stayed in Spearfish. Right down the road was Spearfish Canyon, hope you got to ride that. What a beautiful area with great rides and scenery.

Alpine Inn in Hill City is a great place to eat, but the lunch menu has a delicious selection of German fare. And be sure to save room for desserts! Outstanding desserts!
