• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Last Minute Woes

My Corbin backrest is in "limp mode". The screw that keeps it from flopping around like a flasher on a windy day no longer holds. :banghead:

Also, I purchased a set of Rumble Road Premium Speakers for the ride down. Problem 1: The clutch cylinder leaves little room to mount anything on the left bar. Problem 2: The Kewlmetal bars are powder coated which means the bars can't be used for ground.

Oh, and I have a cold. :barf:

I personally wouldn't try too many mods right before a big trip. Better to discover these problems near your home base instead of on the road.

Maybe you can rig the seat to make the trip, otherwise you might want to swap back to the stock?

Since you have to run speaker wire anyway, you could just run another wire along with them for the ground.

Good luck!

Troublesome for sure but nothing that prevents you from heading out for Gatlinburg. See ya soon.

About your speakers - I took my old cycle sounds ones off my old Harley(formerly 2 wheel tunes). Nope, can't mount them to the bars in any way but HDX drilled two small holes in the black plastic shroud on top of the handlebars and screwed them in there. I ended up taking them off though since I got the 2 bros pipe since I can't hear music now (but I'm fine w/ very loud pipes). maybe that will help?
