• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamont;
i just pick up my new F3-S today....
after a short run, i can home to start dissecting her, i have 2 questions...
1. on either side of the ignitions switch are two ports, see picture below... upon removing the port covers, i find there are electrical connectors attached to the under-side of the covers... obviously, these wires were intended for something... have you any idea what they are for??? i was going to install 2 12V adapters at these locations, and should the wiring be applicable to those, it would be a great help to know... if this is possible, and should you know which fuse these lead to, that also would be greatly appreciated...

2. i removed the 'end caps' on the handle bars so that i could remove the 'grips'... i have the Kuryakyn grips i want to install, but i see that the OEM grips are far different than most other motorcycles... is it possible to replace the OEM grips with after market ones??? and how is that accomplished???

hope your F3 project is going well....

if anyone else out there has the answers, please jump in....

My dealer used one for USB (waiting for end part from BRP ). And may be the other one for 12 V as well ( not sure there or in the Frunk)

I was hoping I could find the switches on cheapcycleparts but they are not listed (or at least I couldn't find them). Possible because the accessories aren't released yet.

Joe,you don't know a toaster from a fax machine.. You put bread in a toaster and you put paper in a fax machine. I know cause I got them mixed up and they didn't work right.
:yikes:

I thought they might be for switches, i.e. heated grips and fog lights.

CJ JAX

Correct.

The grips are the same as the RT and you're limited to what you can use because of the fly by wire. The Kury clam shell grips will work.

I was told that they can be used for fog lights or anything else that needs a switch. Are you aware that you can remove the Left small turn key lock cover you will find 1 of 3 customer accessory connections. I had the dealer install the 12v plug in the very same cover so I can charge my phone. It's ball mount on the left handlebar.

After consulting the service manual, the left ones the toaster. :roflblack:

The right one is for the fog lights (at least on mine) -- I have heated grips on backorder, so I'm assuming the left one will be for that. I'll find out in March or April I guess.
