• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster could you give some background and your water temp gauge, like why you have it, the mounting and the installation of the sending unit.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Lamont:

Why not try a little Water Wetter in your antifreeze.... I bet you could lower the temperatures.

Just sayin....

I also thought about putting water wetter in... has anyone done that with the Spyder? How about a different thermostat?

A change of themostats will unlikely be helpful. The Spyder thermostat opens at about three bars on the guage. If you are running higher than that, it will not run cooler simply because you put in a thermostat that opened earlier. In fact, it may run much worse when cold, since today's engines need heat to work efficiently. If you are running without the fan being on excessively, and are not going into limp mode, you are doing just fine. These indicators are just a guide, and read wherever the engineers intended them to. Most bikes read at least halfway on the guage at operating temps. Don't let the fact that it is halfway or higher scare you if you don't have true overheating symptoms.
