• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster's Ride to the Red Carpet Blog

Hope you brought an extra SpyderLovers sticker to put over the hole. :gaah: Ok, now that you have us on pins and needles, what about the outcome? Then there is the matter of the rest of the story...or do we have to wait for the book to come out? :D

I must have missed something. WHAT precipitated the destruction of the trailer latch?
AND - how will you keep it closed and rain proofed for the ryde home?

You and me both Leo. I scrolled through earlier posts to try and figure that out, but I couldn't find anything. What the heck happened? Lost key?:dontknow:

I had a little incident 10 years ago when I was moving out here to California from Indiana where I lost my gas cap in Nebrasaka, picked up one out of a box of gas caps from a gas station in Cheyenne, WY, and when I got to Rock Springs, WY found out it was a locking gas cap that I grabbed and the damn thing was locked and I needed gas. I had to break the gas cap apart.

Glad to hear that you guys are safe and you were able to get into the trailer (eventually). See you Friday.

Safe travels, hope you feel better soon

Sorry to hear you have been feeling bad. A trip in extremely hot weather is enough of a challenge by itself. Hope you recover quickly and temps drop for you. Glad to hear the equipment is holding it own. At least you got half the trip under you belt. Good luck on the remainder.

I understand ISCI is in route to LA with a trailer with their two Spyders equipted with all their lasted items. Now we can all see all their accessories up close and personal. I think this is the first time they have been to the west coast. They expect to arrive sometime Thursday.

We made it to Flagstaff last night. Ron says 1100 miles but I'm not sure, it was over 1000 for sure. I was sick all day and just pushed myself to each gas stop but I made it. Hope to have a better day today.:doorag:

We did have some fun when we got here trying to get into Deb's trailer. It's a good thing I brought my tuneup tool. :2thumbs:

That's bad sorry I think in this case a lock smith might have been cheaper:ani29:

After watching Bjt's skilled trailer opening tecnique, as well as Lamonster's inspired GPS adjustment, I believe I'll add a hammer to my spyder's tool kit. Mmmm- which is best. Ballpeen? Claw? Hand sledge?

I belive the claw would be your best bet, good at fixing locked trailers

:roflblack: Engineer's hammer, aka drilling hammer. Short handle makes it easy to store, and it has lots of heft. :roflblack:
