Guess I might as well start mine now. I worked on the Spyder till 10:30 last night and woke up wide awake at 2:30am ready to roll. I hope I can get some sleep tonight as BajaRon and I are pulling out at 4am Monday morning. I know I won't be sleeping Sunday night
Part of the fun of a trip like this is getting ready to go. We spent a lot of time working on Ron's Spyder and I think he's good to go now. He finally got his cruise control working and mounted up the way he likes it. That was a 4 day project along with a few other mods like more No Magic lights. :doorag:
I'm bringing my trailer of course and have packet enough tools to do some pretty major repair if needed. I figure if I bring enough stuff I won't need any of it.
I changed out my water temp gauge yesterday and turns out I have a bad gauge.:gaah: The sending unit is not the same as the old gauge so I had to swap it out for the old sending unit. When I did that I went ahead and drained all the coolant and added some Water Wetter to the system. Installed the old sending unit and put the wire on and I knew it didn't feel right when I tightened it up. Sure enough my sending unit is bad:gaah: and I don't have time to order a new one and get it here before I leave. :sour:
Not a big deal but I will have to drain the coolant and fix it when I get back.
All I have left to do now is install some of the cool new billet Spyder pegs from No Magic and I'll be ready to go. I did some adjustments on my CHAD and worked on a few other things just to perfect the long ride ahead. :doorag:
I'll be posting the videos on YouTube and my MobileMe account and I think I'll use SmugMug for most of the pictures because I can GeoTag those so you can see where the pics were taken on a map. :doorag:

When you look at a picture you'll see a Tool Bar above, click on the "Map This" link and it will show you where the picture was taken.
I'll use this post to document the rest of the trip if you want to follow it. :doorag:
