• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster sighting in San Diego

Hey Lamonster - my neighbor was sitting in one of our favorite restaurants (Wrangler BBQ Pit, in El Cajon, CA) this evening, and to his surprise, up pulls a Spyder! His son takes a picture with his phone and sends it to my phone immediately. Unfortunately, I was riding my Spyder at the time (only about 5 miles from the restaurant dangit), so didn't get a chance look at the message on my phone.

Just after I get home, my neighbor comes over, tells me about seeing the Spyder at Wrangler, and tells me to check out the picture.

Lo and behold, It's Lamonster (Or at least your bike, I think)! Wish to heck I had been home when the picture came in (or had gone to the Pit with my neighbor and son), I woulda been there before you coulda eaten half your BBQ beef dinner. How'd you like it? Sorry I missed you.

I headed from there to the car wash. I'm at my Mom's house now in El Cajon. Maybe we can hook up later. :doorag:

Hope to leave at the end of the week. I trying to get her with a few things here now that Dad is gone.

El Cajon brings old memories

When I was a young sailor in San Diego in the 1950's, I visited the BMW dealership in El Cajon. I was amazed to see that a new BMW R69S cost $1001 out the door. In my infinite wisdom, I announced that no one would ever pay $1000 for a motorcycle. How times change!
