There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Lamonster & Fred Rau's RT Trip across America-Day 6

The weatherman kind of messed up the day for all the vendors out there. They forecast heavy rain most of the day and it really only rained in the morning. By 9 am it was pretty much gone and I never did get wet all day. The crowd was down all day because they were worried about the weather.

The gang from ESI went to breakfast in the morning and I stayed at the condo and got caught up on some work. It was raining pretty hard and the wind was blowing like crazy but like I said by 9 am it pretty much stopped and I was good to go. I use Weather Bug on my iphone to track the rain on the radar. Most of the time I can zoom out and see if it's going to pass or if I"ll be stuck in it for the long haul. It's all done in real time so I can see if I wait another hour if I'll miss getting wet or not. This is one of the best tools I have for traveling.

When I was riding around the day before I spotted a Dunkin Donuts not far from where we were staying. I love Dunkin Donuts and we don't have one where I live (good thing) so whenever I see one I have to get my fix. While I was there I had a couple of folks ask about the RT and they gave it the big thumbs up.

I headed over to ESI's trailer with a dozen donuts and some coffee and hung out there for a little bit before heading to the Race Track. I decided to stop by Custom Dynamics and visit Dave and see how they were doing. He has quite a few goodies for the Spyder now. I guess they will be ordering a RT soon for their collection.

Dave was setup right next to my buddies from V8Chopper. They had a new trike I wanted to check out and I wanted to stop by and say hi to Stan. I road a Boss Hoss for 5 years and I still have a special place in my heart for the V8 bikes.

I checked out the trike and said hey to some old friends and after Stan freed up he showed me his new to him bike. I guess the guy that owned it had hit a deer and the insurance company totaled the bike. Stan bought ot back and fixed it up for himself. He named it "The Deer Slayer". He put a Dart motor in it and the thing sounded mean. He then asked if I wanted to take it out for a spin. I told him I would love to and asked if I could run it up to Rossmyers. He said sure but it need fuel.

I went with one of his guys to fill up with fuel and after I filled up he pulled his trike up and started fueling up. I said thanks and I'll see you later. He did have a strange look when I took off.

So I head down some back roads and did a little playing around and made my way to Rossmyers where those pics of Patty and I were taken. I'm not sure how long I was gone but it was long enough to get that V8 grin on my face as you can see. That thing is crazy fast and for sure you're at the top of the cool food chain on this thing.

When I pulled in all the gang was there and that was a great surprise to see my Bro's that I haven't seen in a long time. So Ricky says something like "I hear you almost got shot". Now I'm thinking either he was talking about an old story of mine or he knew something I didn't know. Turns out the guy I was with had no idea that Stan said I could take his bike and ride around and when I left he thought I was stealing the $55,000 chopper. He tried to chase me down but by the time he got the pump put away it was too late. He get's back to the V8Chopper booth and Stan's not there and he's not answering his cell phone. I guess he was freaking out pretty good and was getting ready to call the cops. I was able to talk with Stan and all was well but I guess they have an agreement to let him know next time so he doesn't wind up shooting one of his old friends.

Thanks again Stan, that was very kind of you to do that for me and that thing is a runner for sure.

Got a good look at Stans new trike and I liked it. Has has a ton of room in the trunk and fit and finish was great.

After getting my V8 fix I went over to the BRP Spyder tent and there were a few folks there but it was pretty dead. I will say the wind was not fun to ride in and the sand was a real problem. Not only does it get all over everything it makes it's way into your eyes and that's a drag. The wind is still blowing as I write this now but it's suppose to be a really nice day. I know a lot of folks are coming in today and they should have good weather for the rest of the week and weekend. Hope to see you there.

Great pictures and write up once again Lamont. That grin will likely be there for quite a while by the looks of it.

From the looks of that smile, should we figure you're bringing home another new toy? The new 8 cylinder ambassador?
