• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Lamonster Blog of the 2012 Owners Event in Durango CO

I've said in some of the desert riding advice threads that there are two ways to die in the desert. You can die of thirst, or by drowning. This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about.

Thanks Doc & SpyderAnn for the welcome... Doc is Forest riding with you? I saw your "flight plan" thru Vegas...uh huh... Behave & safe travels. Harvey, LaMont, Ron & guys will be in Durango tomorrow!

Mrs-spyderpop , if you let mr spyderpop have that kind of a man cave I would bet money that you must have one nice set up for yourself also .

Behind every mans cave is the woman that let him do it ;)

As to the man-cave.. yes you have a woman's cave as I recall and a fine one it is.

Durango looks to be tons a fun! You Hulugans try to stay outta trouble. Nevermind watching Harvey...I'm gonna have him watching you...

We're here and all's well. It's a bit hot but that's better than wet. I'll report back when I got something to report on. Take care :doorag:

Monday was a great day. We started off the day by having breakfast with Chaz Rice and went over some of the plans for the week and some new announcements they plan on making during the event concerning the Spyder. After that Ron and I headed back to the room and waited for Harvey and the boys to get done with some things they needed to do. SpyderPops will be setup just down the road if you need any of his product.

They got here around noon and we headed to Silverton CO and the Million Dollar Highway. That was a great ride and I think the highest point I looked at was 10400 ft. Is was cool to see the train that runs from Durango to Silverton and I'm still not sure how it got there because that was some steep mountains they had to cross. There was still some snow on the ground at the peaks and the crazy thing was I had 4G service most everywhere we stopped.

I'll let the pictures tell the rest of the story.

Heading into Silverton

"As always I plan on posting pics and videos here on SpyderLovers for you folks that couldn't make the trip. If I do it right this will be the next best thing to being there. Check back to this post daily to get caught up on the trip and the event." :doorag:

You have a photo of the Alpine Loop. Where can I get one of those maps?

Stumpy and I did the Alpine Loop on Monday. Went in at Lake City and out on US 550 North of Silverton. Did it in a 4 door Tundra 4x4. Everything else up there was Jeep sized and smaller. I was well above 12K altitude. It was a real fun day!
