Lamonster BBQ 2012

OK, I give up. I was sure I saw a thread on here for Lamonster's BBQ for Sept 6-8, 2012, along with hotel recommendations, etc. And now I am doing searches for it to no avail. Is the Alzheimer's kicking in? Is it gone now? or am I just losing it?

Suggestion#1: If there really is a BBQ thread, maybe Lamonster could make it sticky so it stays at the top.

Suggestion#2: What about making a major category (like General Discussion or RT Touring) for "Events & Rides"? Granted, most of them would go in the state chapters, but some, like the BBQ, may draw regionally.

I like this idea, an events area where we can see shtuff about Spyderfest, Owners Event, SITR, SITA, SITS, SITD, SIP, whatever Spyders in "OMG WHERE" there is. Also it would let us see what happens in Canada, and in Europe.

Wasn't there a thread where the date was locked down and a few hotels nearby mentioned? The thread mentioned above is still undecided. I remember clicking on a link to hotel and checking out the rates at $85ish per night which I thought was great.
