There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Thank You as always Deb.. It is so thoughtful of you guys to post this blog AND do all that ryding ..
We all appreciate it very much.
Feel like I was with You folks rather than being at work (UGH)

Nevada Video

Here is the video of various clips as we crossed Nevada. I just uploaded this at 10:38 pm EST so it could be a while before is is ready to watch at it's best. Hope you enjoy, we did.

I loved reading your thread. I would love to be able to do what you are doing. The pictures & video were great. Glad you guys are staying safe too!

Deb, you and Brian are certainly special people. I read your blog with great interest. As much as you've enjoyed this trip, I know that getting home will be a blessing.
Safe travels today.

PS - Is the tent in your trailer? How did you keep the trailer closed with the broken latch?

Ryding vicariously through you guys as it's raining here again today in the Northeast!!! Video and pics are terrific!!! Safe ryding today as you journey home. Bet you'll be glad to sleep in your own bed!!

Are you sure that was in Nebraska????

" Quaker Steak & Lube photos - After lunch we headed over to the Quaker Stake and Lube for a beverage before Brian and I had to get back on the road again. Al and his wife treated us there and the place was so cool. I had never been to one of these as we do not have them in MI. "

When I saw the photos, I thought that you were in Battle Creek, Michigan, and had stopped at Scotty's Dinning Room.

It was nice meeting you and Brian (and the rest of the group) here in New Mexico on your way out and I am glad you had a couple minutes to stop.

Tom

FYI Deb, keep Forrest in your prayers. He hasn't made it back yet and last I heard he's not doing too well. I think this trip might have been a little too much for him.:(

Prayers from Texas for Forrest!

Prayers from Michigan, too!

Nothing that new around here, except the Beemer and the Spyder, and those stay where they can be ridden. Besides, Nancy won't let me have motorcycles in the house......darn.

Please keep us updated on Forest, sure hope he's doing better.

Thought I'd just post a couple pics from our Omaha meet yesterday. It was nice to see everyone and had a real nice visit.
In the first pic left to right are Larry (Big Arm), Deb (dltang), Brian (bjt), jisawal's wife, sorry I don't remember her name , :opps: Al (jigsawal), and John (jimclarkf1)

Do hope Forrest is OK. I see over on Doc Doru's blog that they are looking for ride leaders for Forrest. Sure hope people from that area can help. SpyderLovers are family. I sure hope Forrest can get home safely. I hear the heat in the middle of the country is just horrid.

Lamont, we just got home just moments ago and I will take the time know to pray for Forrest. I have asked our Lord to guide him, to heal him and to show him the way safely. I know it was a lot for us and we are 30 years younger than him. Kudo's to Forrest for living his dream.

We Are Home!!!

Got home about 1/2 hour ago, I played with my dog, ate some pizza and started the laundry. I have my bike unpacked and most of the trailer too.
Here are pics of the final trip odometer and hours:

That gives us an average trip speed of 69.66 mph, not to shabby.

First of all, I want to thank BRP for giving me this opportunity and excuse for taking such an adventure in the first place. Once again, they put on a first class event and everyone there felt like a "rock star". Also a big thanks to Lamont for starting the banner and adding some flair to the ride. Without it, my blog would have not been nearly as fun to write or for others to read. It helped so many people to be a part of this event even though they couldn't actually be in LA themselves. And most of all, to all of you SpyderLovers for checking in with me and being part of this whole event. It has been so much fun for me to read what you have to say. Spyder people in general are just awesome people, from the owners, to the lovers to the marketing and every where in between. I can't wait for the next event and I hope I get to see so many more people both new and now familiar friends. I will continue to post some random videos and pictures over the next few days for anyone that wants to just take a look. Thank you again. Now to start reading the forum.

Deb,
Can you take a picture of you GPS/ Cup holder connector.
trying to find that from Ram mount we spoke of.
Thanks

Sure you didn't fly instead of ryde??? That's a seriously fast average speed!!

Glad you have arrived safe at home!! This was a great adventure, and I'm glad you took us along for the ryde!!!

Spyder Sightings

We only saw three unscheduled spyders along the way. We saw one going east bound on I-40 just outside of Albuquerque, NM after our banner meet up, and one on the Ortega Canyon ride with Greg, and then Brian and I saw one west bound outside of Des Moines Iowa yesterday. Other than that, the only spyders we saw were the ones in LA or the ones we planned to meet with during our trek. We are still a very special breed, that is for sure.

Glad you're home OK. Missed meeting you in Spyderwood. We were parked next to each other in the garage and the parking lot at US. We'll talk in the future. Brian
