• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kuryakyn Grips on the RT (with heat)

just installed these exact same grips. Love them :thumbup: now if only the rain will stop:banghead::banghead::banghead:

You installed the chrome or black grips? My problem was Kuryakyn says they do not have a throttle boss that fits the black grips, Rick maintained the ones they were selling would fit. They do not fit correctly and do not look like the ones in the photo when installed. The ones in the photo are chrome and use a different part number throttle boss that does fit the chrome grips.

Since I have all chrome, installed the chrome ones.

They should have fit exactly as the chrome, the grips are the same and throttle boss is the same.
We do not want you to be unhappy. There may be a small difference in the black grips that are giving you the problem. We have had a lot of people install those chrome ones.
Send it back in the mail, we will credit you back everything and give you credit for the the return shipping.

OK LEFT SIDE ON NO PROBLEM WHEN I TOOK THE RT END CAP OUT MY SPRING POPPED OUT... WHAT IS THE TRICK TO GETTING IT BACK IN CAN SEE THE SLOTED AREA WHERE IT SHOULD GO AND THE PIN IT SHOULD FIT INTO.... IF I JUST LINE THOSE UP THE TIGHTER I MAKE THE SCREW THE THROTTLE DOES NOT RETURN FULLY.. IF I BACK IT OUT IT RETURNS NORMALLY.. KNOW I AM DOING SOMETHING STUPID... AND CANT FIND THE PROPER ALIGNMENT IN MY SERVICE MANUAL

ANY HELP APPRECIATED

I for sure lost some heat after the mod...........they do still get warm enough for me......bear in mind though.....I live on the gulf coast, not New York.
Other than that, great mod, they are very fat, I have big hands they feel great to me. I also put the throttle boss on the right side.....i like it too......

I lost some of the heat too, but now that i moved to Florida, i guess I have to think about a/c grips!

I had the same thing happen to me. What I did was to stretch the spring just a slight bit.
I then used a small screw driver to help line up the pin inside the handle. Then carefully installed the end cap
Good luck
