• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Know your stuff!

Never just take a dealer for their word. I went by my new worst spyder dealer today in Garner, N.C.. This is the same dealership that I have had a good relationship with on their Honda and Yamaha brands. This year they started to carry spyders, and are also doing service. Well, after being pissed at them on 2 other visits concerning my spyder, I decided to just stop by again today while I was out. This time they had 1RT, 1 RS, and 2 F3 spyders in stock. As I walk around to just take a look, another new (new to me) sales man comes over to tell me all about the spyder lineup. He has just about every fact wrong, and cannot even open the frunk. Then as I am looking at the F3, he states that this new version has a wide variety of options. He states that the base model F3 comes with a 998 V-twin, and the F3-S comes with the optional 1330 3 cylinder engine. I tried to correct him, but after about 3 minutes it was obvious that you cannot fix stupid.
I really hate this because this has been a dealership that has prided itself on customer service and customer appreciation. But every since they decided to carry the spyders, their sales and service staff has gone to crap. Sometimes you should just stick with what you know.

You might be doing the dealership a favor by informing management of your experience with the salesperson. He is for sure not a very good advertisement for the business or the :spyder2: lineup. :yikes::yikes:

You are correct. I just finished sending them an email informing them of my recent experience with them. Thing is, I really like this place, and they have allways been very nice. But since they have been carrying the spyder, it is like a whole different dealership.
Still going to go by and ride the stink out of the Vmax when the Yamaha demo truck comes around:doorag::yes:

Ditto on the Vmax. I had an 80's Venture with the Vmax engine in it. Loved riding that one.
