• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Kind of an expensive day - 28k service

Well I finally pick up my bike from the Dealership today. I brought it in for the 28,000 Gold Service. While working on it the Tech discovered there was a rock puncture in the drive belt and it needed to replaced, so I approved that. Then I was advised the rear tire was down to it's Wear markers. They said it would probably last until Spring, but since they were back there replacing the drive belt anyway, I approved them to replace the tire was well. This way I won't have to pay more in the Spring. A load test on the battery disclosed a dead cell, so I had them install a new battery as well. So the Gold Service came in at $630.00. The belt/tire replacement came to $1,192 parts/labor and the battery replacement came to $260.00. So with tax and shop costs, out the door $2,352.00. But I should be good to go until the end of next summer.

Next time you need a belt replaced bring it over to my place, I'll do it for a steak dinner!:coffee: Wow $2000 for a belt job!

Mikey,

The $2,000 was also for the PIN in the automatic steering column plus the drive belt ( that had bad cogs, which made the :spyder2: not safe to drive. The $2,000 quote was to replace the PIN in the automatic steering column, and replace the drive belt. I also posted that in my post #14 the reason why I it cost that. Also part of the $2,000 cost was for labor, and time.
