:lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie::lecturef_smilie: I HAVE!
I have the three Powersports amps from kicker.
PX 50.2BT running two JL Marine Tweeters and Blue Tooth purposes.
PX 300.4 running four JL Marine speakers
PX 500.1 running a Kicker 8" sub.
AND I DONT CARE WHAT PEOPLE SAY OR THINK AS I RIDE WHAT I PAID FOR.
WHAT WORKS FROM SOME MAY NOT WORK FOR OTHERS. MY BYKE. MY LYKES!
Could you post pics and video of what it sounds like ?
Where did you get the speakers / Enclosures ? Are they all custom ? Under $1500 ? I don't want the sub since the F3's trunk is so small

While its true the speaker is the actual item that creates the sound, it has nothing to do with how loud the music comes out. When you turn the volume up or down, that is the role of the amplifier. The amplifier takes the original signal and increases the amplitude so it sounds louder than the original input.
The amplifier and speaker are both important but in an application like our Spyders, clean sound at relatively high volume levels is key. Keeping the sound clean and distortion free at high volume is what the amp does. I would choose a system with average speakers and a quality amp over a system with a mediocre amp and superior speakers. Of course ideally we'd want both great speakers and a great amp, but most people's budget is limited.
Nothing sounds more obnoxious than some one Ryding a motorcycle with their music blaring away as they Ryde down the street. Invest in a good com system and listen to YOUR music and enjoy! Nobody else wants to listen to your music!:banghead:
with over 20 years in car audio as an installer. I quit a few years ago due to it got expensive I had access to ALL the toys, and I am getting older. That above is 100% correct. I would rather spend the extra on the amp vs the speakers. Don't get me wrong I blew money on all sorts of crap all of it was the upper end. SoCal Spdyer I am sure you know those feels!
Kicker has been known to be a work horse and with everything I have done to their amps/speakers/ subwoofers. I have No doubt in my mind these little guys are more than worth every penny.
This is an interesting theory.....and if I understand what you are saying .....The MEDIOCRE sound of the OEM speakers in all RT's are because of the AMP, and if the AMP was better the sound would be better ........Well my RT sounds fantastic and I have the OEM AMP.....but not the OEM speakers, I swapped them for JBL GTO528, 2 OHM models.........So I have a different theory...........Mike :bbq:with over 20 years in car audio as an installer. I have been thinking of blacking out my Blue ridge windshield. You have yours painted, correct? I think I will just spray plastic dip on the inside of mine to see if I like it. I don't look through it but not sure if I will like it blacked out and not sure if the cops will mess with me if it is. I have blue tooth helmet speakers. I like them but I am also thinking of adding a small kicker system to mine also. I have always been a fan of kicker.
