Installed my KewlMetal mirror extensions last night. It was a relative snap. You do, however, have to really torque down on the screw to prevent unwanted mirror movement from wind force, vibration, etc. (tighten it until it smokes then back off 1/4 turn). There is some mirror vibration which is kind-of expected with that (total) arm length. A weight of some kind (I'm thinking lead), affixed to the outboard end of the arm, would likely absorbe the vibration and solve that problem. It's just a matter of some head scratching to figure out how to add the weight in such a manner as to make it look like a supposed-to-be.
The only thing I wasn't happy with was the inability to reaffix the nice little rubber Can-Am screw hole covers. KewlMetal didn't think to incorporate a groove (or bump) to accommodate that action. You'll know what I mean when you install yours. It deserves some (more) head scratching to find a way to make that happen. Those little rubber covers are a nice touch.
Bottom line ... best $100+ I've spent on any one an accessory thus far. The extensions look like they grew there.
