• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Okay, just completed the order for the two pack, one for the F3 and one for the RSS. Thanks for the help!

I contacted Matt and asked him and he said yes, so I'll be ordering them since I loved them on my RT. There's a 15% discount for spyderlovers (code = spyderlovers).

Hmm. I tried the "spyderlovers" coupon code yesterday when I ordered mine and it did not work. :dontknow: Sent Matt a message via his website to ask.

Just did it and it worked. I had to leave this site and open a new page on the iPad, SpyderLovers worked.

The grip heaters still work with the ISO grips. It just takes longer to get hot. But there is one other issue. Because they are longer and metal, when you doing 65 down the freeway the wind over the ends sucks the heat right out of them! I either move my hands to the ends or cover the ends with a piece of innertube when I know I am going to be needingnthe heat.

Bob

Yah Bob...I remember hearing you say that before on your "Tips" video. I'm not usually a fashion over function dude.... (Always great Vids BTW!)
I'm in contact with Matt on this....I'll update once there's movement. He seems to be a Standup Guy.

Just ordered mine

I entered spyderlovers in lowercase too (and clicked the "apply" button afterwards) and it worked for me.

Big Joe bought out Matt's half of Kewlmetal and Matt is now just doing the helmet locks on his own. You can contact him. I know he said he has redesigned the lock to no longer need adapters. He will be a sponsor here too.

Lamont,
Thanks for posting this, ordered a set for my RT limited.:2thumbs: This is such a great idea, new bikes should come from the factory with these. Most of the Motorcycles I owned had helmet locks from the factory and did not want to waste luggage space for helmets on the Spyder.

Matt and Lidlox are First-Rate!!!

This thread started because I had a problem...Matt @ Lidlox went out of his way to supply a solution.
I gotta say that this guy knows customer service! Matt contacted ME and to say that he happened to have a set of the adapters that would make this work for me. He also gave me an option regarding the newer style locks as well. I always want options.... He stayed in constant contact and shipped first thing. The new locks are a great product and have a remarkable vendor standing behind it.
This is how its done!
Kudos to you Matt and Lidlox!

So I went out to install on the RS and found a Phillips screw, half the diameter in the grip. I could see that the factory screw is the same as the standard screw for a drawer pull from the kitchen. So I found one that was long enough to compensate for the new thickness. The RSS is a 2011 BTW
