• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just wanted to keep the Farkle - simple and to a minimun

Unobtrusive with a hint of agression, while subtly approaching a serene posture!
very unique, thanks for sharing.

The thin red line originally comes from a description of the firing line of the British.

Back in the 1800's When the british were fighting most armies would have their musketeers three ranks deep so two ranks could be reloading while the other was aiming and firing. However the british adopted a tactic of only having two ranks but training their men to reload quickly so the rate of fire was the same. Effectively this meant they had greater firepower for the number of men.

The main reference though is from the Battle of Balaclava in 1854 when a 'Thin Red Line' of Highlanders stopped and routed a Russian cavalry charge.

The british army jacket used to be red (the redcoats) until rifles replaced muskets and they realised having a red uniform with a big white diagonal cross on it wasn't a good idea when the enemy had accurate weapons.

LOL, you and I obviously have some similarities. She used to tell the kids, "You can ask us anything, but first ask yourself if it is worth knowing or not." " If it is useless information that you want to know from curiosity, ask Joe." She is right of course.:roflblack::roflblack:
