• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just needed to vent a little...

Its so nice having fresh air directed back at me when I am ryding.

Just what I have been looking for. Can I ask where you got it at? Also how hard was it to put in?

Thanks,
Mowerman

Took a nice 150+ mile ryde with Doc today and the vent was great. Nice flow of air right back at me. Closed off, none came thru the opening.

Dave,
I installed one of these vents on my last ride and loved it. I also saw an RT at SITS with one installed. Here you go and beat me again :D. What did you use to cut the opening?
Have fun-ride safe and hopefully we will meet some day.

I drilled the 4 corners, following the install instructions nd then used a jig saw. The hardest part was marking the opening and getting it straight, so I drew a grid on the screen and measured that way. Are you doing the C2C ryde Saturday? If so, I will meet you then.

Dave,
Thanks for the info, and NO I will not be going Coast to Coast. I had made plans for another ride.
Sorry I will miss you again, but our paths are bound to cross soon.
Have fun and ride safe. C-YA RL

I've been looking at that kit since I rode with some Gold Wing guys 4 months ago. I was waiting until someone else had tried it, as I was unsure about the curvature angle of the windshield working. Thanks for posting. How high from the bottom did you go? I usually ride with the windshield in the down position. Wouldn't want it in the line of sight when moved up.

13 inches from the botom center of the shield to the bottom of the vent. I am 5'10 and it isnt in front of my eyes at any position. The flow of cool air is great. All the way down, its just above the dash top and up its just above my chest.

Thanks. One other question- did you take the windshield off the bike to work on it, or simply make the cuts with it in place?

:D
