I picked my RT Ltd up in Wyoming & had a fantastic ryde home to Tennessee this past October. Gave me a chance to see some beautiful country, meet some outstanding folks, and break in the Spyder solo and "gently". Wouldn't have traded the trip for anything. Now, we're gettin' ready to winter in TX & I can't wait to do some 'splorin' down there. Point is ... the machine can take it. Break-in periods, given todays metallurgy & machining and assembly tolerances, are more oriented to the ryders capabilities than it is to the equipment, IMO. Read the manual thoroughly, pay attention to the normal things you would on any new piece of equipment (oil levels, inflation pressures, handling characteristics, etc.) and you should see no ill effects - short or long term. JMHO.
She sure is purrty, Len!! May have to take a closer look after we get a few more miles on Cas!!
