There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Just bought a 2017 f3-t and I'm a new can am Rider looking for advice

:welcome::clap:So if you didn't get the hint yet read the do's and don'ts thread, tho since you have a 1330 motor you can skip all the VTwin stuff. Read the section in your owners manual about how to ride a Spyder. I came from 40+ years on 2 wheels but did have 4 years on a Goldwing trike that helped. It still handles different even then a trike. After you read all that stuff go out and ride, ride, ride, ride, ride. The more you ride it the more you'll like it. And pictures, this is a visual group:nopic:

Welcome, Wecome & Welcome

Hello

I am picking up my new f3 2017 in a couple of weeks. I'm just looking for some advice on how they ride and what to expect. I guess I might be impulsive since I never rode on one and did not even test drive this new one. I had motorcycles 20 years ago and at 53 yrs old I just did not want to go that route again. Any Advice On Anything from maintenance to riding is really appreciated.

Basically purchased my first Spyder...totally unseen until delivery person deposited on my driveway. That was Memorial Weekend 2010...and even though the learning curve took awhile...that was all history within 1000 miles and haven't slowed down since. Highly recommend taking a 3 wheel course...I never had to unlearn anything as never rode a 2 wheeler....lots of great advise here with the very best Spyder lovers in the world....again welcome. Waiting for the pictures...and because you are asking ?'s that means you are teachable. Winning combination. Wahoo.:thumbup:

Picked it up today !

Hello

So I picked up my 2017 f3t today. It was nice to drive something that had 0.0 miles on it since I have never bought anything brand new. The ride was smoother that I thought it would be and it to cornered very well. I rode it for about 50 miles at varying speeds and I was very happy with my first ride ever on a can am. My first long trip will be to Americade at Lake George so to say im looking forward to it would be an understatement. Thanks to all who offered advice and thanks to all the contributed to the do 's and dont's forum your advice was appreciated. I do have just one question. The dealer handed the new owners manual . The was an extra lock cylinder for the side bags and the were also two 3m clear decals. They were 4inch by 4 inch. He said they came in the packet but he had no clue what they we for ? I'm sure they had purpose just curious as to what purpose ? Again I appreciate all of you for your advice. .

Awesome! If you're going to Lake George for Americade that means we'll see you in Lake George in September for Spyderquest, right? :) :)

Lock

I don't own an F 3 so am unsure about the decals are used for. That seperate lock is so when you buy a trailer it will have the same key as your ryde. Surprised the dealer didn't know that.

Enjoy that :trike:

Oh and make sure u check that air pressure under passenger seat to make sure it's set right. I need some air in mine

Hi JD,
Those clear decals are to put near your boots to prevent rubbing the paint. I used mine on the side of the tank as I have looooong legs and my knees contact the paint there.

AS a VERY WISE person on this site told me - - find a parking lot and practice turning and stopping and most important - RELAX YOUR GRIP and just enjoy the RYDE. :dg1:
