• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Just an idea...

Somebody has probably done this already anyway...

Since the RT's front wheels have a wider offset; could you swap them onto an RS/GS in order to improve stability?
...or would it require RT fenders as well??? :dontknow:

I wondered about that too, Bob. I did some searching to see if there was a post frome someone who actually did this but have found nothing so far. I know there are some folks who went with very nice aftermarket wheels and they look great, but I just don't likethe idea of a 17 of 18 inch wheel up front. I think it throws the suspension geometry off and makes the machine prone to rolling. If anything I would rather have a 15 inch up front so I could mount the same size tire on the fronts as what is in the rear. Then I could put some nice gooey Michelin slicks on there and go crazy! :D The grip would be unbelieveable... and the fenders would be just a memory!

I think that the hub in the late 2010RS production model would allow you to change easily. They appear to be using the same one on the RT,the only difference being, a spacer to off-set the fender when it is used on an RS.I see that on mine...is it the same hub on the 2011?! ..:dontknow:

There's a reason for my madness... My son is looking at a base RS, but isn't keen about the 3 spoke wheels. I keep trying to turn my "A&C" into an "S", so I might just have some RT wheels available... :ohyea:
Oh the crap we pull just to keep our wives guessin'!! :roflblack:

If your son doesn't like the stock 3 spoke wheels, have him look at the latest BRP catalog. They have several options for different wheels that he may like better, but of course they come at a price as well.

Bob i have researched rims and my thought is new from brp is alot of money i had mine painted the same color as my bike but now one wheel has scratches and i was looking for touch up paint from the painter and he is not co-operating although i should be mad i'am not i just won't use him again even though he did a great job. So i'am going to have them powder coated gloss black its cheaper but more durable.

:2thumbs: Good idea Roger!
I'm trying to "S" out my "A&C", so the smoked chrome wheels would look pretty good... (Just not to the financial oversight committee..)
