Weekend Weather

:coffee: Looks like Indiana is getting a little cool down. Today's high will be only 83°F and cloudy. Tomorrow's high 80°F with clouds, 80% chance of Rain. Sunday's high 77°F and very wet. Do to high humidity it will still be warmer (6°- 10°). We need some more rain. Enjoy your weekend and Ryde Safe. ........

89 for a high Sunday in Deadwood as of now, followed by lower 70’s. Chance of rain Tuesday, but about as nice for riding as you can get.

Rainy Days

:coffee: YES, got .5" of Rain Saturday evening and more on Sunday morning. They say we still need a little bit more. It has been 6 days since we last received some rain.
Indiana corn diffently needed the rain. Enjoy your day and stay safe. .....

Valley Springs: A couple days with rain in them. 20 minutes or so of cloudbursts each time. The grass out front improved a bit.

80's today and next day or so. Supposed to creep into the high 90's Fri, Sat, and Sun with heat indexes in the 100's. Glad we have AC in the house.

We have been doing around 100 miles per day per Spyder the last week or so. We are up to 13,400 total miles so far this year. It looks like 20K is in sight for the first time in a few years.

The LOW last night was 93F. That was the LOW! Day time temperatures are 114-118F. I soak in the pool for an hour or two each day. But too darn hot to do anything else outside. The bike is fully covered with a battery tender attached. Hoping for some monsoons to cool things a bit. So far, nothing in the forecast......:helpsmilie: ..... Jim

Sunny Day

:coffee: Today's high will be only 86°F. Mostly sunny and clear skies. Still need more rain.
I started watering the garden every other morning and the tomatoes are saying healthy. Probably cost more to water than just buying the tomatoes at the store. I enjoy the taste of home grown tomatoes, right from the plant.
Hope your part of the World is treating you well. .....

Yea, we're kind of in a cold snap for the remainder of the week. It's only going to be in the 106 deg range for the week. One thing about the weather in the desert southwest, it tends to be a "hold my beer" kind of thing.

Hi All, here on the Texas Gulf coast yesterday & today temps above 100 & with humidity feels like 111-114, like riding in a sauna!!! Good Luck

You NEVER ask anyone to "hold my beer" in Oz when it's hot..... not if you want your beer, anyway!

Not that too many are likely to be standing around outside drinking beer atm in the Hills where I am, but only cos they'd hafta put your beer in the 'fridge to WARM IT UP to 4°C or so before they could drink it!!

It's so bloody frosty here this morning there's no chance of 'stoning the bloody crow's' - they're smart enough to have stayed in bed & kept their stones all tucked up & warm inside!! Even the bleedin' Galah's aren't out yet, they're waiting for the sun to get up properly and burn away the fog so it can defrost their wings AND anything/everything they might wanta land on!! :p But the frost's about an inch thick, and the fog's thicker'n pea soup, so it might be a while yet! :lecturef_smilie: And it's quiet as, too! Mainly cos the only things moving atm are all the crazy joggers getting their morning's masochistic fix & some bloody idiot ryding a Spyder!!

Weekend Weather

:coffee: So far JULY has been very warm here in Indiana. Weather People have said 'the hottest season ever'.

The tomatoes are doing great. They like the heat.

Today's high will be only 86°F. Saturday high 91°F and sunny. Sunday high 92°F with sunshine.
Enjoy your Ryde Time and Stay Safe. ......

Valley Springs: Hot and getting about 5 degrees hotter next week. They promised a rain shower last night, but I did not hear it or see any evidence, except for a couple flashes of lightning about 1:00 AM. 95ish predicted for the next couple weeks.

Linda had some minor foot surgery, so she is not riding for the next week or so. Had to get some new tires for the Vulcan 900, so have been taking some jaunts with that for an hour at a time. Darn...I still like riding that two wheeler. I was going to sell it earlier in the season, but since it is paid for, 6700 miles on the clock, and in all other matters, a like new bike, I will just hang on to it. 55 miles per gallon and $36 a month to keep it fully insured.

Monday

:coffee: Picked my first of the season 'vine riped' tomatoes on Sunday. I believe they will be a good crop this year.
Today's high will be only 90°F and sunny. Do to the heat, I don't ryde as much. Enjoy your Ryde Time. ........

Headed up to Donner lake to have lunch with my wife's son and his wife. Beautiful views of the mountains and Donner lake ( can you say Donner Party). Always great ride over Mt Rose to get there. Temps to be in the mid 80's Just perfect.

The heat wave is almost over.

Today the temps were in the 80's & 90's. We have not had much rain!

Rainy Day

:coffee: Finally, got some much needed Rain (1/2 in). We still need about an inch more. I will take what we get and make the best of it.
The tomatoes are doing great.
Today's high will be only 81°F and cloudy.
Ryde and enjoy your day. ......

Supposed to hit triple digits (102) here in northern Wyoming today. Praying for cooler weather than what they are calling for this weekend, since we have a high-mile group ride planned.

Valley Springs AR: still hot, hot, hot. I did about 60 miles on the Vulcan yesterday. Climbed over Gaither Mountain and the breezes were on the "cool" side. Very nice. Went over to Ponca and Boxley and then returned. After I came off the mountain and into our valley, it was like driving through a furnace.

Planning on doing similar today.
