:coffee: Welcome to the month of JULY. This will be a great opportunity for you to get on board and post your 'local area weather news'.

I know for me it is interesting to read and learn about the many different things.....

Have a wonderful day and Enjoy your Ryde Time......

Hot Days

:coffee: Indiana is starting the heat wave. High today 89° and lots of Sunshine.
Grass has been turning brown and I'm letting it get taller. Stay warm and keep healthy. .....

Nice to hear that someone's getting some sunshine, altho we have had a few crisp & clear days here recently, they were still very close to freezing... :sour:

But while today dawned clear & my morning ryde started out reasonably well, it quickly clouded over and the temp rapidly dropped from its early moring high of about 8°C/45°F down to about 3°C/37°F & -10 degrees of windchill..... and then it started raining! A solid, teeming, freezing rain that was fairly slushy & VERY cold!! :gaah:

The rain radar now shows just one solid blob of medium heavy rain spread out across most of the bottom third of the State, with a few fairly large blobs of heavy rain scattered amongst them, one directly over where we are, with a line of similarly heavy blobs just queued up to roll right over the top of us as the previous downpour runs outta stuff to dump!! So it's bloody cold!! :gaah: I'm even beginning to WISH for snow! At least that'd be warmer!

After a one day reprieve of 70’s it’s back to the 90’s for us. Looks to be hot and dry for the 4th. Hopefully we won’t have to many fireworks related fires.

Valley Springs: Where did June go????? Starting off with the "heat wave" mode. Already 90 degrees, mostly sunny. Supposed to hit near 100 today. The weatherman says the warmest day of the year, so far.

Tomorrow ( Thursday) 7/2 we have very hot and sunny weather. Temps in the 90'S!

Friday they are saying thunderstorms, temps in the 80's.

Sat. Sunny 80's.

Next week 80's + 90's sunny, and may be a another heat wave!

BEAUTIFUL,PERFECT ryding weather today in the eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. Left Reno and went to Kirkwood ski resort ( 8,000+) looking for a place to have lunch. Temps in the mid 70* F , no wind, not even any clouds. Had lunch in South Shore Lake Tahoe. 40 MPG and the :spyder2: ran perfect. The ECU upgrade made climbing steep grades, 2 up, a non issue. My wife even found a beats3 wireless earbuds laying about when we gassed up. ( bulky but sound great).

Valley Springs: So muggy that my glasses fogged up when I went out early this AM. We have AC inside. Had to take the Vulcan in for an oil change and filter. Then I rode another 50 miles to make sure it was working. It did.

Weekend Weather

:coffee: Hot all weekend. Today's high will be 91°F.

Saturday, Fourth of July, still at 91°F. The grass is brown and no rain for awhile. Hopefully people will be careful about the fireworks and not start to many fires.
Sunday's high 92°F and pure sunshine.

Ryde when you can and be Safe. ......

Hot Days

:coffee:Yesterday I received about .6 of an inch of rain. The first real shower in 8 days.
Today's high will be 92°F and very humid and of course lots of Sunshine.
I hope that your day will be wonderful and safe. .......

We’ve had several evening thunderstorms the last few days, including one after the Mt. Rushmore fireworks that might have doused any smoldering embers. We needed the rain, things were starting to get a little dry. My sump pumps are running again!

Glad to hear the rain did some dousing. I was afraid of fires from the fireworks.

Valley Springs: Been in the 90's the last week, supposed to hit triple digits by the week end.

We did 75 miles of new, to us, roads on a 100 mile loop yesterday. Found some new towns, to us. Caney, Mull, Harriet, Evening Star, and Morning Star as well as a few others. Have a few more roads to try that we have not been on yet. Fantastic scenery and twisties most all the way.

Last couple days, t-storms fired up in the PM, but there was no rain of consequence in our area. It is getting very dry at the moment.

No morning rydes for me atm, the RT's up on stands with all its wheels off while their bearings are being replaced; but no biggy, the mornings haven't been very nice of late!! :sour: Temps are dropping into the low single figures & barely climbing into the teens; every morning's starting with a heavy & soggy low fog/cloud cover; often also freezing rain; and the winds are blowing straight off of the Antarctic Ocean to suck a few more degrees of Wind Chill outta everyone!! :gaah:

Wednesday

:coffee: Weather People are saying that this season is starting way to hot. Indiana is warming up for the month of JULY. Evening temperatures are staying at 70°F and very humid.
Today's high will be 92°F and humid. Try to make the best of your day.........

Valley Springs: Hot, hot, hot, & dry, dry, dry. We are still riding, riding, riding.

I see I am still showing the Alaska pictures in the signature. Will see if I can figure out how to change them out to Arkansas and the current rides. Nanner (now called Burt) is still in the stable (2014 RTS) and it is now Linda's ride. The new F3 is not though.
