Friday 7/28/23

:ohyea:...Finally Friday and the heat is on, currently we have mostly sunny and 86°F. (Heat Index 96°F)

High of 95°F with sunshine all day. (Heat Index of 106°F)
Low of 73°F.

Indiana Farmers are saying this is the best weather for growing corn and beans. Some people say you can see the crops growing right before your eyes.
Oh yeah, The Indiana State Fair opens today. Just may have to go and check it out.

Stay Healthy and Enjoy your Day. ....

Left Billings for Yellowstone trip at 104. Saw 52 at the top of Beartooth Highway. Most of Yellowstone was low 80’s. Great time of the year to ride it.

Yesterday here in Vt. we had a wet and stormy Thursday, we will get back to the sunny skies again today. But it will be a hot & steamy one! Temps will be topping out in the mid-to upper 80's and 90's . Those temps, combined with the high humidity that is expected, will bring the Heat Index( The "feels like" temps) into the mid-to -upper 90's in the Champlain Valley of Vermont and for the most of our southern counties. There is a slight chance for a shower and thunderstorm right near the Canadian Border near sunset time this evening.

A cold front will be coming through on Saturday with a few showers and possible thunderstorms. That front will be ushering in a batch of cooler , less humid air, which will stick around for most of next week. Highs will generally be in the 70's and lows will be in the more comfortable 50's Skies will be partly sunny through the middle of next week, although there could be a few showers late Sunday into Monday.

Air Quality is GOOD, but here may be just a bit of smokey haze in the afternoon today. That haze will clear out over the weekend.

Weekend Weather 7/29-7/30/23

....Welcome to the Final Weekend of July 2023. Currently cloudy skies and 70°F. Yesterday's temperature was very uncomfortable 96°F (Heat Index of 102°F). The humidity makes it fell hotter, if you know what I mean.

Thank You for Asking me about the tomato plants. So far all I have are a dozen or so small tomatoes on the plants.
I decided to go 'organic' this season. So I have learned a lot from this year's experience. The wife and I wanted to give it a try.

Today it's going to be sunny and 90°F. There could be a little rain shower this afternoon.
I did receive a 10 minute rain earlier this morning.
Low of 66°F with lots of humidity.

Sunday 85°F and some sunshine.
Low at 61°F.
Weather news people are saying that a cool down is coming.

Prayers for everyone who has been in harms way with the flooding issues and now the hot temperatures. I will try and check on the neighbors, they are an older couple.

Stay Safe and Be Patient. ....

Currently 106 here in the desert S.W. Headed towards a high of 110...... AGAIN!!! The overnight low will be 93. Humidity is at 16% and there is a slight breeze. Locally, heat deaths are being reported every day. Last night I was sitting out front watching lightning and a good size storm heading right towards me. Then, without warning, it just disappeared! Checking on the computer showed a formidable storm bearing down from the east. But it just evaporated before making it into the valley. This scenario happens a lot this time of year. Cool, wet, and stormy in the high country around us, but hot and dry in the valley. Stay safe..... Jim

WE DID IT!!!!! 30 consecutive days of 110+ temperatures, smashing the old record of 18 days. Now on our way to 114 today. I sure picked a poor year to buy myself an old age present...... :gaah: a Mustang convertible..... :2thumbs:

Monday July 31, 2023

:ohyea:..Well today is the last day of July 2023.
Yes, it was a fast moving month for me. That's just the way things are now. When I was younger and I moved a lot quicker more things got done in less time and money. Go figure that one out.
Currently I have a cool morning at 61°F.

Enjoyed the challenge of the Weekend with the family and friends. I hope you were able to get some quality time. Everyone needs to relax and enjoy life.

The numbers for today are 81°F with sunshine and less humidity.
Low of 55°F.
Going to take charge of the day and get back into some 'Wind Therapy'. You do the same.

Stay Safe and Enjoy your Ryde Time. ....

I will post more next month (August). Till then keep smiling 😃 😊 🙂

Current head index is 101°

I need to wash SLEDGE after the 3400 + mile trip, but I may wait until December.

The current temp in Vermont is 65 degrees and clear( it is not raining:yes:) and the sun is shining.

This is the last day of July( Where has the time gone!).

We have had a very wet month here in Vermont. We will get some showers today, but nothing serious at all. There may be a rumble of thunder or two as the weak cold front drops through from the north to south. Temps will be coming up a bit shy of where they ought to be for this time of the year. Humidity will be comfortably low.

it will clear out tonight and we will get to see the full" Sturgeon Moon" the first full moon of the month of August. There will be another full moon near the end of the month, and it will be called the Blue Moon( the 2nd full moon in one month).

Tuesday and Wednesday are looking like decent days, just a bit on the cool side for this time of the year.

It will start to heat up on Thursday, and it will turn more humid again. There may be a few showers or thunderstorms by the day as a frontal system moves in. Friday will be more active day with those showers & thunderstorms.

There may be a few, lingering showers early on Saturday, otherwise that first weekend of August will be very nice.

Deanna
