• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

juice box settings...which ones work for you and why?

I essentually had the same problem after the update and I leaned the cruise mode down a couple of steps. Since then ( almost 1000 miles) I have played with the JB and have it running very well now and actually I have ran the cruise mode settings back up some. Unlike others on this forum I never could see any effect in disconnecting the battery and with the BRP bags it's a PIA. I just drove mine and the more I drove it the better it ran after tweaking the JB. Think the ECU will correct itself up to a point. BTW I am running the Hindle with the ESI green filter and JB.nojoke

If you get time care to post your numbers or setting you're at, I'd like to see them for comparison purposes.
Thanks Jim

I am at 3,6,6,3,4.5
I have a Hindle and oiled foam airfilter with no air box.
Runs pretty darn good and gets 130 or so miles to the fuel light.
It does still have a very minor flat spot around 4000RPM but I think that might be a lean spot in the factory curve which no add on box can fix.
(If there is a "dip" in the main map then there will be a "dip" in the modified map.)

To really fix that you would have to remap the main system. (not currently an available option)
I had a "Yosh box" for the Jap bikes and you could set the map in the main ECU. You plugged it in, set what you wanted and then disconnected it after hitting the save to ECU button.
You might be able to do this with BUDS but I dont think the dealers are going to do it for you. (EPA rules and junk)
Maybe someday, someone will build a programmer (like a superchip, Smarty or Bullydog) for it.

All in all, I am very happy with the way it runs and the Juice box!

Here's where I 'm at:

Evoluzione Race air intake
Custom airbox with cold-air intakes
Fuel Pressure mod set back to BRP spec of 51-52
Hindle

Running JB at: 6,6,6,2,2 right now.

Was running mode 4(cruise) lower but was getting some 'sputter' around 5,000 RPMS when cruising.

My MPG is better than when I had the fuel pressure up at 63... I knew I was running far too rich. Not sure if I'm running too rich right now... but I'd rather be a bit on the rich side than lean.

I just ordered a juice box from NMN and pretty much have no clue how I am going to set it. I only have a hindle...any suggestions?

I have all the updates done and it rides pretty nice right now (no sputtering) but it does backfire (loudly) often.

Call Evan and get a green filter too...

I would start at all 3s (except for settings 5 and 6, which should be different numbers). Then ride and see what you like. Everyone is looking for something a little different...with the JB, you need something better than the stock air filter...

So are you saying I shouldn't install it until I have the G air filter?

Go ahead and install. You can get it set without the green filter. Then you will probably only have to tweak it slightly once you add that. If you are already experiencing any indications that it's running lean, it will benefit you immediately. We're not programming launch codes here. It is pretty simple to move the flashing light to the right or left. Play around with it and see what works well for you.

The JB affects the fuel going in...the fuel/air ratio is what gives you the power...if you pump more fuel in and have limited air, you're not gonna get the results you desire...you'll likely run too rich and will be more susceptible to backfiring/popping noises out of your exhaust. I found this out with one setting being too high...lowered it and it made about an 80% difference. Many say the bike runs inherently lean....if you add the JB, you might make it too rich without better air...the air filter makes a big difference...

You can hook up the JB now...but, you're not gonna see the significant difference until you get a more free-flowing filter in there...

I just picked up a used JB and Kewl Metal intake from another member. I am trying to find settings to start with. I am not sure I actually understand how it all works and it's a bit confusing. I am running a HMF pipe and a NMN Green Filter currently and I know for sure I'm running really lean, especially when it's hot, and I am getting backfiring. Can you help me figure out the way the JB should be with what I have now and then I can just tweak from there once I get the KM intake installed??

Were'nt you the one that pointed out that modes 5 & 6 had to be different values?
