Sorry, I meant to ask where to purchase?
Found this in service book. Any concerns on the warning that modification can affect performance and air mixture issues?View attachment 96281
NOPE!! I have about 8000 miles on since I installed JT's air filter and no negative effects at all. Maybe slightly better performance & fuel mileage.
I just ordered the sound filter today. My filter makes a loud sound between 4K and 5K rpms....stay tuned....
I just installed the pre-filer and did not notice much difference in the sound between the above rpms....oh well, guess I will get use to it....I like the way the machine runs...
A whistle is usually an air leak of some sort somewhere.
I wonder if the filter parts were siliconed good and have a tight fit.
Maybe a vacuum line got a tiny cut when removing the intake parts.
Just throwing out suggestions, these things are hard to find sometimes.
When I put the pre-filter on I took off the tupperware on the left side that wraps toward the fron right under the glove box....was an easy job....did the whole thing in about1/2 hour...
Sounds like you have an RT, I have an ST, no glove box. The panel I'm talking about, the mirror sits over it. Does the mirror screw off or just pull off? Seems like I saw someone just pull the mirror off in video once.
After taking another look at the mirror and panel I mentioned, the panel is actually cut out where the mirror sits. So the mirror might not have to come off.Looking at the parts breakdown on a ST the mirrors look just like the RT and are held on with two spring clips and a keyslot. To remove you press down on the top inner edge while pushing up the bottom outer edge, then when the two spring clips are off you lift up a bit to release the keyslot.

Thanks for the info. Thinking for my girlfriends 2011 RSS. How difficult to R&R?
