J&M CB Antanna Upgrade Kit

Has anyone tried the J&M CB Antenna Upgrade Kit ?

Is the antenna longer?

Any noticeable results for the money ?

I'm having the CB communications installed when the '14 arrives and that would be a great time to put in the J&M kit if it's worth it.

I did on my 2010. It's the same length but better made. My reception went from useless to barely useable so it was worth it to me. Same here, I will install the J&M antenna on my 2014 when I buy the CB.

Yes have them on both my spyders and work great. But if you know any one with a meter you can fin tune it more, but out of box works better then brps. You can make a bigger ground plat for it to and then really works great, put 2 grounds on it to.

How would you get additional grounding ... a braided wire ... foil ?

I did not opt for the CB communications on my '11 RT-S, nor have I had it on my Wings.

Might as well make the best of it since it's a pricey option.

I made a plate that fills the hole area in so that the new one sits in the center of the plate. Grounds wires go to the farm in 3 ways 1" in size and works great. Also did it for my ham radio to and am fm.
